To a point, I think it's a viable strategy to get in your opponents head. Sometimes there's nothing better than when an opposing team trash talks before a game, then you win and get to shove it back in their faces in the post game lobby. But like I said, TO A POINT. Death threats? Get that outta here. I have quite a few friends that started from trash talking and turned into jokes. So, while I'm not particularly fond of trash talking, I'm also not 100% against it. And the party system is the perfect way to avoid it.
