I was reading on other forums and screamscape that six flags new englands catapult might be closed permanently. I think this would be a great fit for TGE and it might settle rumors of why they are moving bumper cars and scrambler out of the fest area

While I think that could be a great addition, I don;t think it would fit in that area in Fest Area. Catapult is a HUGE ride

It would be very nice because that is the only ride of its kind in north america so it would draw people to the park. I just don't see it going into fest area if anything it should go in front of the comet

Did you really just say "put it in front of the comet".........? Are you kidding? Flying Trapeze would bearly in front of the comet. I say dont bring it to the park at all. Its a prototype, its discontinued, and it will just cause problems. Dont let it fool you that SFNE got it to work...Astroworld couldnt get it to work, and TGE isnt going to take the time to keep it running well. Give it to a park that needs a large capacity ride. It would be unique but we dont need it, nor do we have space for it unless something major is removed.

what are you talking about with it being a high capacity ride it takes about 15 minutes to load everyone on it. It does take alot of people per ride but the load times are horrendous

I made a mistake when i said in front i was talking about to the left of the photo thing.

And another thing i want to make myself clear when i say this is a rumor. There is slim to none chance that this ride will go to tge.

Pretty sure that is a hill and I doubt they will put anything there unless its another water slide. Just can't see this coming to tge but I can see it going to another six flags. Maybe gadv or america

S&S Sky Swats look cool, but are a technical nightmare. I'm surprised the one in SFNE has lasted and worked there as long as it has.... It's not worth the capital for TGE to clear out a place to fit this monster if its going to be a pain to operate. If you put it in the back of the park, you will never ever ever fill all ~50 seats in one cycle...

Sky Swats aren't even good for busy parks... pretty sure they have a low cap/hr, like around 500.

I think it would just look odd and out of place in the park regardless, even if it looked nice. Im still dreaming they throw in a Disk'o. Family friendly, moderate fingerprint, kinda fits the great escape persona.

The ride experience its self of a sky swat is bleh, overhyped... still kinda crazy no doubt, but you get bored of it.

To the best of my knowledge, i'm pretty sure that those other rumors... are in regards to no new ride, or the return of the scrambler in the chippers dome. Would have already been announced and hyped up. Those rumors, the question marks and the clues, its just to get people talking and thinking... like this, and its just going to be a simple street show, or a game, etc.

I'd love to be proven wrong though. Was it Shapiro and Snyder that went crazy removing all SF indoor rides in response to the Rye Playland tragedy? Both of which are gone... so maybe new management would consider returning the ride to the building?

I think the chipper dome not being "structurally sound" was an excuse, but I could be wrong. However, I bet its really nasty in there, mold and such. I think it would take a lot to get that building in working condition to have people enter it - and it might need to be looked at again structurally... but come on guys, triangles are the strongest shape right? :D

Actually, a park rep did confirm for me that "things are being moved around but i can say much more"... She said that in a response to "are the bumper cars being moved to Ghost Town?"

I could be wrong but i thought that someone somewhere said they drove by and said bumper cars were gone
And by the way it has been confirmed that catapult has been scraped

The only way to see any of that would be from the parking lot of the hotel behind the bumper cars
