Yes every SFI parks has one including La Ronde. Do a little more digging and you might find a few more or similar attractions. That's not including how similar they are to the yoyo/flying swing attractions.

also most of TGE would require a short tower like TGE. so instead of spending 2 million one over installed clone why not add 3-4 flats to the park and really expand the park.

There are skyscreamers at SFStL, SFFT, SFDK, SFGAdv, SFoT, SFoG, and eventually SFNE too.

Looks like they'll make Canyon Blaster run backwards instead of the Comet?

The initial rumors were that one of the additional changes was that the comet would run backwards... but that does not seem to be the case. Now we see one of the signs says "a one of a kind experience" in the pathway by the Canyon Blaster. The best guess screamscape had is that it relates to the rumors of the Comet going backwards, but that makes no sense to me because then why wouldn't this sign be over there? These signs appear to be in regards to their location. (Hence the sign for screamin' eagles) So with this being said, my best guess for this "a one of a kind experience" sign, would be maybe they can find away to run the current train on the canyon blaster backwards. It would make sense, its a roller coaster no one really cares about, and running it backwards would give it some more hype and publicity... and It's already called Canyon Blaster soo Six Flags wont look too weird if they un-creatively call it "Canyon Blaster: Reverse Blast" B)

I don't think both signs in ghost town relate to the same thing (possible Bumper Cars)

yes they have. Reversing a ride is a gimmick used to draw ore attention to a ride. so Reversing Comet woudl be pointless since it's already the most popular attraction. a few months ago when I first heard the rumor I pushed that it made no sense and that either of the Ghost town coasters woudl be a better move.

Yes they do both in there general selection and new additions. They also need flats that are worth driving to. yes they get tourists but if they want people to travel they need something not found at competing parks. and having a smaller version of a ride found at SFNE and SFGAdv will not make people with passes to those parks want to visit.

those are just the SFI installations. The Star Flyers have been installed in other locations and there is a portable option not to mention similar rides through Mondel(Ceder Fair), Zamperla, and more. In fact there is already a portable Model operating in New England through Fiesta Shows and the company that dose the Big E also has one.

Ya, thats got to be what their doing. It just makes sense across the board in every aspect, and seems like something the park would do. I really don't know why no one else has thought that this specific sign relates to running the Canyon Blaster backwards, it just seems obvious.

And speaking of these signs they put up, this is GREAT publicity, this is just what the park needs, it gets people taking. And as a local fan, I find it exciting myself.

I doubt along with you mrceagle that the scrambler wont move back 'into' the dome (and that it was likely moved out initially due to being scared after the Rye Playland fatality.) Though, I believe this was the time when SFI went on a campaign to remove all dark rides and stop rides from running backwards. (I was shocked they didn't rope off backwards facing seats on chance wipeouts...)

One of the reasons why I don't think the scrambler we have will move back into the dome, is because I assume a lot of the lighting equipment the great escape used is either broken, scraped, or sold. Let alone the infamous "structure rumors" i'm sure inside it isn't currently suitable for riders right now either. I'm sure it hasn't been taken care of, and seems like a great place for water to seep in during rainstorms and build some nice mold.
And how could they theme the lights and music to a winter/snow theme? It makes no sense. I don't think the scrambler will move at all. It will stay Blizzard at its current location next year. It would cause too much of a void in the middle of the park that would then be filled with.... flowers, or worse.... *cough* Eagle Terrace *cough*

The change at the old chipper's dome will be some sort of temporary street show / event so the place isn't completely empty do to the absence of everything around that location in the past ten years. I don't know if the dome will be removed or even used. Maybe they'll paint it light blue and use it as a backdrop. A gigantic snowball. Or maybe that location will be some sort of a game... something for more money. its kind of far away from all the snowy themed stuff though.

Hahaha, nope! I'm wrong about Canyon Blaster!

Screamscape

The latest rumor from The Great Escape regarding the teaser sign posted about a “One of a kind experience” coming in 2013 says that this is a reference to an all new show that the park is working on. If the rumors are true, this could be a new “iLuminate” show that may try to make use of the old Nightmare building for the indoor show.

I was recently told about this and figures I see if it has hit the pages here.

First off the park could use a top show. it has been lacking anything of substance since the circus tent was removed for Wiggles world. I have seen the show on America's Got talent and it is a one of a kind show.

The nightmare part gets me. This will be a huge undertaking and very costly. literally and inter theater will need to be constructed inside the building. to handle the acoustical needs they will basically have to build a building inside the building.

I don't know anything about this iLuminate thing, and i'm too lazy to look up the clip from America's got talent. But I have a hard time thinking they will put that much extra cash into something. Whatever this sign is for, a new show, or the Canyon Blaster, I have a hard time seeing them use the nightmare building. I mean, if they use it, wont they then have to repaint it to? or at least cover the sign that says "Nightmare?" unless they name their show that haha.

Don't forget mrceagle that the park still has its diving show which is always a huge draw, but yea besides that they really have nothing now.
