As many of you may know, and may have attended, the Great Nor'Easter annual event was held at Six Flags New England today, and a Great Escape rep provided some info about the fate of current attractions in the park, and future expansion.

Points included:
-the Rep stated Six Flags does "believe" in them and that they DO have a 5 year plan. (and the way she explained it, it almost sounded like they have multiple attractions planned for the next few years)
-A question was asked regarding Bobsled's fate and the rep responded that it would operate this year and that she feels its a primary attraction in the park but she did not comment on the future of the ride.
-A question was asked regarding Nightmare: if it was scrapped or still existing, and the rep responded saying that the ride is no longer and was scrapped.
-A question was asked if they have any plans for a dark ride after they removed Tornado in 2003, and the rep responded saying that it has been talked about and it is an option that they are looking at for the future.
-The rep hinted that they will be focusing on the expansion of Ghost Town as she said they have valuable space that can be used up there (HINT HINT: Nightmare building/Nightmare area???)
-A question was asked about a repaint/upgrade of Alice in Wonderland, and the rep responded that they will be giving Alice in Wonderland a new coat of paint in the near future.
-A question was asked about the old Jungle Land walk through, and the rep stated that it will be used as a Timbertown walk-through.
-The rep stated the park wants to focus on the Timbertown characters and make them grow.
-The rep stated Comet WILL RECEIVE more new wood sections on the track this summer.

I may have missed a few points from the video, but those are basically the major points that were mentioned.
Here is the link to the video for everyone looking to listen.... The video also includes info about the future of SFNE too.

Moston, Nor Easter is an off season ACE event. Normally hosted by a park. Last year it was Canobie, LC the year before that. Parks are invited to the event to present about their plans for the upcoming season and take question about the parks direction.

i asked the question about Alice and the Jungle walk since their quality and upkeep have been talked about here.

you can see my trip here - Nor easter 2012 TR

Doesn't appear to be any new major news here. Some confirmations on various things are nice to have though, thanks for sharing.

I think they have something planned for the nightmere building. If they didnt have plans for it you would think they would have put a attraction there by now

Steamin' demon is supposed to be under a contract stating the ride had to be in the park for a certain amount of time
Before anything can be done to it... With that being said,
Nobody knows for sure when the contract will be up if it is even still in effect. Steamin' Demon still draws guests and its a great feature to the front of the park to attract guests. Also, the site demon is on is a man made hill built specially for demon... The hill was built for the needs and specs of demon. If a new ride were to be built on the hill, the land would have to be evaluated to see if it could safely hold the new attraction and its new specifications needed to work. Demon is also an Arrow Dynamics coaster, meaning that they arent known to be smooth, and surprisingly, Demon is quite smooth compared to others. I say keep it unless you REALLY need to get rid of it.

First since the demon had been in the park since the mid 80's i would think that the contract would be done. i dont see them removing it but if they did ghost town would be a real ghost town. Also if they did remove it they would have to add a major atterction to ghost town. whether it would be something in the nightmere building or around it they would need something to liven up ghost town again.

The building is used for storage.
i was on desparado sunday and i was amazed at how disorganized it was. There were box's everywhere and little kids games tippped over laying on the ground. Even with no organzation 75% of the floor was clean with nothing on it. thhe old arcade dome was also open on sunday and the same with the nightmere building almost none of the building was actully used for storage. If the sky 360 dome was anything like the other two buildings it would be redicoulous. I think that it is stupid the way tge planned it out. The nightmere building could easily fit the 2 whole domes in it whole or if it couldnt it would be close. So if the domes are not close to being filled wouldnt you put all of the stuff in the domes in the nightmere building and knock the domes down and put two small flat rides in. Even if they didnt do that with good organization they could deffintly find enough room in the domes or thruout the park to empty the nightmere building and put a ride in that building

Good point and I have though abut that also. along with the option of moving the storage items to a new building in another location. The 180 dome near the Alice walk-through was an Arcade on my last trip, has that changed? I have fore awhile wanted to see that come out and a full size family teacup ride added.
