just something to get the blood flowing here on the site but i was catching up on things over at sfneonline and i saw A topic that was talking about a zamperla hawk, and personally i think it would be a great fit for the park and it does not take up that large of a footprint either.... i loved time warp at sfne which was a vekoma air jumper and the vekoma and zamperla versions are quite similar and time warp was just one ride i really enjoyed and i thought was a very thrilling flat. |

i would be very happy if we got a ride like that, and according to the specs on zamperlas website, it could fit where the petting zoo is/was.... |

I had no idea what type of ride that was, so I had to look it up. Incase anyone else is wondering heres a picture attached. Would be interesting. If it can fit in the petting Although they would have to cut down quite a few trees that our around it, hopefully there is enough clearance for the ride to run there. |

Zamperla Hawk is a great ride! La Ronde got a one arm model with 24 seats and the line does move moderately fast. The ride got a good cycle and is a lot of fun. Only issue I could see if the ground work required. The one at La Ronde require a deep pit for the bottom of the ride to accomodate the curved ride vehicle and lowering floor. |

if ge ever did get one, theyd proly take the cheap way out and get the 1 arm model and even though,as you stated the linemoves quickly...it would become a main flat and i would assume the lines would be rediculous seeing it would basically become the most thrilling flat in the park besides sasquatch... kinda.

I was talking about this ride on SFNEonline regarding Canobie and my hope they will get one. I thin the ride would be goo at TGE also. The one arm gets 800PPH or twice the capacity of Sasquatch. so it wouldn't be too bad. Though personally I would go with the double arm. switch off side on slow days like LC dose with Thunder and Lightning and run both arms on the few days it's needed. In canobie's case they would need it pretty much every Friday - Sunday through the summer and a umber of days with large camp groups. |

sasquatch only gets 400 per hour? wow. didnt realize it was that low... and sasquatch even in the summer doesnt get that long of lines (expect drop tower on some days) and yes i knew i saw it somewhere on the sfne forums but i didnt remember who started the topic but i guess it makes sense now! haha but exactly what you said, if they got the two and switched them on and off on slow days and run both on busy. simple as that. also i would think if we got a new ride like that or something and they advertised it that it would boost attendance a bit... |

I don't really get the point of this topic. Sorry, not to be an a-hole, but I could post thousands of topics about things we "could" or "should" get, without any warranted rumor for speculation. I mean, if I was the balls of authority at Six Flags and Great Escape and wanted to make a great investment at a Great Escape price that was actually realistic, it'd be an Intamin Mega-Lite. But I could also speculate that we "should" get a B&M WingRider, Intamin Accelerator, Huss Giant Frisbee, S&S Screamin Swing, and everything else under the sun...but none of those things would ever be a reasonable investment for corporate or the park itself. If there was some kind of prayer or human sacrifice that could be made to bring such gilded attractions to the park, I'd be first in line. Also, Great Escape doesn't need any kind of "capacity wizard" ride. There aren't long lines at Great Escape. Ever. A line for Boomerang that stretches past the entrance is still only 8-9 trains long, which can take 30 minutes with slow operations. A 30-minute line for one of a park's star attractions on the busiest day of the year is not a need for increased capacity at all. Have you ever been to Six Flags America? That park has a higher attendance than Great Escape, yet even on some of the busiest days, the line for Superman Ride of Steel is rarely outside the station. Now, contrast that to Six Flags Great Adventure...on non-peak weekends, the lines for El Toro and Bizarro can exceed 2-3+ hours with Toro running 2 and Bizarro running 3 trains. That's a park that needs capacity magic. Maybe this topic would be more properly titled "things Great Escape could plausibly get"? Idk, I'm just not getting this. |

Good points. though I think your only looking at one side of it. the one arm 800pph option would likely be fine. it's a simpler Thrill ride that fits the park style and would add another upper end thrill option to complement the parks line up. I agree that we could be suggesting other options as well. there are many rides merit that are not overly pricy or large that would fit the park well. SFGAdv pulls twice the guests of SFAm. so yes they need capacity. But i also always say a park should look to the future. if they hope to one day pull say 1.2 million they should add ride that can accommodate those crowds. canobie had a slight problem like this though the attendance increase was sudden. they were starting to build to allow better capacity but hadn't added anything of high capacity, existing rides offered lower capacity in many cases. after SFNE raised ticket prices many sought out cheaper options and Canobie was one of the options, LC being the other. They have since upgraded rides with similar option with better capacity or replaced older rides with higher capacity options. |

yes there are otger options... i was just pointing it out that it was a small thrillin flat that could be easily placed in the park space wise.... it was only a suggestion to get the forums a little lively, but yes there are many options and this was 1 of many... if you want to go start a topic about other rides , go for it. |

I'll stick behind a hawk. I thin it would fit the park better then some other high thrill option like a Screaming swing. also the Hawks price tag would be much lower the the 4 million 32 passenger Swing. |
