Though they don't need an arena it would be nice to see a real theater. The western area has 2 stages but flat seating. I nice indoor theater for shows would be nice. possibly they could do what one of my local parks, santa's village, dose. They have a screen that can be pulled forward to show a 3D movie and then pushed back to make room for live shows. in a summer day they have a combined 8 or so shows in the one theater

yeah, something like that would work, just as long as the show was captivating, unlike the game shows and music shows they currently have in the red garder. Liked it better when it was country music, even though I dislike country music usually, they did a pretty good job then.

YA a 500seat theater would be fine. the best hart is it can be heated and Air Conditioned. so that is a draw in itself.

I think a Imax feature or something along those lines would do alot better and put it in the old Nightmare building.

I really don't think they are ever gonna do anything with the nightmare building. I really don't. I honestly think it will just become another storage center like chippers and 180 was

There were rumors of them getting a sim theater for the nightmare building. and GAdv did remove their last year.

what kind of shape is the inside of the building in these days? i would think that to put in something, quite a bit of work would need to be done .

The one and only time I was in there back in 2007 it was full of pigeon or bird poop. But they also kept the back doors open most of the time too so that is probably why. The roof and building should be in pretty decent shape though, it is a Morton building and they are pretty durable. I would really like to see it used for something other than storage. I also think that an outdoor concert area would not only upset the neighbors but also thats why we have SPAC and the Glens Falls Civic Center amongst other venues for that sort of thing. Lets not take away their pourpose to exist.

Has anyone been by the park lately to see how much looks ready since we've had such "wonderful" weather.

I wouldn't expect a lot on opening day. Its been a long snowy winter and a long rainy spring

here is the stage and part of the theater at Santa's Village that I was talking about.

Posted Image

The movie screen sits just behind the curtains during the movie showings. They then push it back to give them a 20ft deep stage for live shows. the tree on the right is an animatronic.

yes, i did see that too. but what makes me mad is, when six flags puts out commericals for TGE, they dont even use footage of the rides at TGE. its all all like sfne and sfga and sfmm. hmmmm.... making things look better than they actuallly are!

SFI is terrible for doing that. even the SFNE commercial has very little of SFNE in it
the talk about Gauntlet the new mouse and show a shot of one of the Tony hawk spinning coasters.
