i like how maintenance runs the lift. it even makes the ride experience a little better. gives a little more suspense getting to the top |

yeah, i like the hill too, but thinking about its top speed I was curious if when it was rated #1 how much did the lift hill have to do with it. |

i was also wondering if its top speed depends on the lift? RCDB has comet with a top speed of 55 mph. but does the chain give it a few extra mph's? |

The train crests the top of the hill at a faster speed it will hit a faster top speed at the base of the hill. this is one reason why a a coaster with a launch sees slightly higher speeds. |

It would be safe to a point. the track as it's designed would only stand p to so much extra speed. as for its rating you just need to get more people to the park. I'm sure if you can get more to ride it it will rank better. In the wood coaster pole Comet placed 30th out of 180 which is really good. |

when i has at price chopper tonight, i noticed a poster in the window advertising that they were selling season passes. they were also showing that season parking passes were $40 but if you bought it there you save $4. I find it very annoying how tge keeps rasing the prices on everything, especally since gas prices are becomnig rediculus. also, scooby-doo was on the poster so that makes me belive they have not removed all the characters |

I am not 100% sure but I beleive that the Allan Herschell train was used before the Chance train was purchased.I'm going to guess that the C.P. Huntington was bought in the 80's sometime. |

oh, i somehow had it in my head that the chance was bought in the late 90's, early 2000's..... i must be mistaking then. and the great escape like increasing their prices, but doesnt give us anything in return. going up with prices on everything is going to make people not come. even a day pass went up. i really have no interest paying $150+ for four family members to go to the park, and to not even eat, and have to pay that much? they are insane. im not usaully a complainer but in my eyes, its a complete ripoff. i used to go to the great escape almost every weekend, during the summer when i wasnt busy, and last year i went 2 times.its ridiculous.. i know im not paying that much to go. maybe 1ce a year now. |

I'm not that crazy about the increase in parking costs but the thing that really irks me is the foor. I have been to Great Adventure and SFNE so far this year and not only is the food even worse than before but it costs even more. I can't wait for TGE to open so I can eat home before I go in the park. Somehow the parks have been really jam packed so far this year and people are spending the money on the crappy food. |

They have been packing SFNE and SFGAdv with events. those groups are driving the higher attendance. The high cost on top of admission dose keep me away. and As great as TGE is it will come to a point were the prices are just too high. Problem is I think the park is about there. |

I think the prices have been there for a while and I know I dont get much of anything from TGE. I actually just renew my pass from SFA every year, its much cheaper, even after the fact that I dont have a coupon book. Plus, I generally dont park there, I'll get dropped off instead to avoid the parking fees. |
