I dont think that a magic carpet ride would be too intense at all, but even if chance did still make twisters, they are insane. I love them, but theyre crazy.

i dont think a magic carpet ride would be too intense either. i think it would actually be rather thrilling, and can SOMEWHAT be a family ride if your kids are like 7 or older...... and its a shame they dont make them, they really attract guests at other parks and are fun! IMO i would like to see a screamin swing at the park...if thats not too much to ask of six flags cheapness haha

I would love to see a Screamin' Swing at TGE, but not as an upcharge attraction. Six Flags would charge too much for it I'm sure. And do you know what parks still have a twister by any chance? I know Gillian's Wonderland in Ocean City, NJ had one last time I was there but I dont know if it still is...

i dont understand why screamin swings are upcharge at most parks, i really dont. its just another ride. (then again, im not sure of the cost to run them...) but six flags new england still has their twister. im pretty sure that is the only six flags with one left though.

I think by twister you are referring to the Huss Top Spin? This is what that is... http://www.hussrides.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=66&Itemid=112
I thought you were talking about a totally different ride. If you are talking about the Huss ride then there is also one at SFGAdv, SFDK, SFFT, SFGAm, SFMexico, La Ronde, and maybe others. That might be a good addition to TGE, but only if it is run well.

Those are horible for tall people! I tried to go on the one in SFNE and felt like I was being crushed by the restraints. I was even under there 77" height requirement by an inch or so and I had to tell the ride operators to let me out.

The Flying carpet is still made, Zeirer makes it. they also have a suspended option.

The screaming Swing is a 4 million dollar ride to buy. Upkeep in another 600,000 a year. Not a practical addition for a park that gets 800 or so thousand a year.

Why I said Too intense is that the movement tents to be very jerky. as for it being family no. Min height requirement is 54 in.

sreamin swing is deffinitely not worth it for tge. and yes i was referring to the huss top spin. for some reason i thought chance mae one named twister...hmmm guess i was wrong.
but i agree with the flying carpet. it is very jerky....to the point where sometimes when im at tge, i have to LITERALLY hold on so i dont go flying out of the thing. thats how bad the airtime on that is for me. but what did you mean by they have a suspended one now?

OH i see what you mean by the suspended flying carpet. and it looks AWESOME. i dont think that would be an intensity issue... it has shoulder restraints...

I remember a few years ago there was a rumor that we supposed to get some type of flat ride package, including a top spin somewhere near the bobsled and a frisbee where the flying trapeze it. The swings would have been moved in that patch of land in front of the comet, they even dug down and had the electrical part done before it was cancelled. I wanna say it was like 2005 of 2006.. too bad it never happened

well thats a bummer. that would have made the park a little better! i like frisbees but i have never been on a top spin. the one at sfne used to scared the shit out of me so to this day i have never gone on. but thats such a shame. could have been a nice addition to the park! but i dont think there would even be enough room in front of comet. would there? you would have to do something with re routing the paths around it so nobody hes a flying trapeez chair to the head.

in anyone's opinion... do you think we will ever get another thrilling flat or big addition? or do you think the park is basically gonna stay the same with SFI?

it won't stay the same forever in that it wouldn't get new additions, but I tihnk Boomerang, Sasquatch and Comet are the most thrilling or "scary" that they will ever go. From a business standpoint, it wouln'd really make sense to invest in a big new roller coaster because GE will never get the type of attendance needed to pay off or make a ride worth it.. In terms of coasters, if we were ever to get a new one, the next I would say is a GCI Woodie or Gerstlaur spinning coaster... Too bad we didn't end up with Roa Runner Express at least it would have been SOMETHING... from what I heard, the original plan was that we were supposed to get it, but was sent to SFNE last minute after the problem they had with Canobie Lake Park and their Eurofighter

well at least there is SOME sort of hope in the park....a ride doesnt need to be fast or scary to have a good time on it. everyone just remember that. i think that if we ever did get a big roller coaster, i think that we would get a relocated one from a closed six flags park, which wouldnt use much money. but anywho, from what i heard from multiple places is that great escape was originally never supposed to get the wild mouse for KK, but that sfne was supposed to recieve the euro fighter and canobie was supposed to recieve the wild mouse from KK , but plans were changed last minute due to problems with the euro fighter. not sure if that is exactly right or not, but that is what i have heard and seen from multiple sources.

AND we did have a wild mouse type coaster at one time (italian roller coaster) so i dont think it would be a big surprise if we ever got something along those lines. but i think that big problem at this point is space to put new things. if they were to add a few new rides, many things would have to be moved around or TGE would have to be expanded a little somehow.
