How does the main GECentral.com website load on others computers? Does it load slowly, or quickly?

Just curious.. because it loads sorta scattered on my computer; it takes about 10 seconds on my end for it to load completely.

I just loaded it up, and it does come in piece by piece, and took around 7 or 8 seconds to fully load. I can say with confidence that it isn't an issue with my connection either, I have a 30 megabit connection. It's not untolerably slow, but it is a bit slower than I'm used to.

The site loads pretty fast for me. Not even a few seconds if that. Almost slow at first but then speeds up.

It loads reasonably fast on my PC. but I also have Cable. Though the image areas load separately so it loads awkwardly. Like watching Bubbles in the water.

By the way what program did you use to write the site?

Yea, it loads up in bits and pieces on mine too - but it loads fast. So, it's ok I guess.

I used FrontPage and Photoshop to make it (mostly Photoshop), completely from scratch. The skin on these boards I downloaded though.

sequinn12801, when you post a new topic, generally as more new topics get posted, your old topic moves down the list of topics. As people post responses to topics, they move up in the list a bit. As a topic gets a bit older, and people stop posting responses to it, eventually it will move to the bottom of the list of topics, and then it will dissappear into the archives.

When you "pin" a topic, it stays at the very top of the list even if no one reponds to it. It will remain there for people to see, at the very top of the list until the moderatore "unpin" it, then it will fall to the bottom of the list, and eventually disappear.

It takes a good 30 seconds to load for me, but that is because I have slow service. Darn, local internet providers.
