Since coming back to my first RPG love (D&D), I've been having such a great time that I've decided to try my hand and heart at somehow working in "the business". Now, I know that I can submit articles and adventures to Dragon and Dungeon, but what else is there to do? What are some job ideas or openings that people interested in RPG's can explore? Is there a job board or job search engine designed for RPGers by RPGers?

I've already sent a query to Dragon regarding several article ideas and I am thinking about an adventure I can write for Dungeon, but maybe I need to start small before trying to play with the big boys and girls over at WoTC? I don't know, but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Check out the Wizards of the Coast website. They are often looking for entry level positions that will let you at least work on a team that may be in a building where the R&D department is only one floor above you. Get in and work your way up to the top.

Other than that publishing freelance work is not to expensive these days. With on demand publishing and the interwebz making distribution a breeze, you can build yourself a little company of either novels or game supplements with virtualy no overhead. Chances are if you know a good DM, a group of players who can voice opinion, and an artist buddy willing to work for free just to get his work in a book your set.
