Ok, so I'm moving again on April 15th. That's when my lease is up. I didn't realize it until yesterday, but that's easter weekend, so everyone who had committed to help me move except for one is now saying they may not be able to be here. Grrrr.........

Hopefully Fixxxer will be able to help but with his work schedule he won't know until closer to the date. I'm sure as hades not going to be able to lug my furniture down three flights of stairs.

Anybody want to come visit the beach for a weekend and help me move?

I have a station wagon and can hold the end of a couch. I work mostly for food :D

If turns out you do need help let me know. I've been looking for an excuse to get to a beach better than Daytona for about a month now.

I'll help, come hell or high water. If Dave and friends want to drive up and help, I can whip up some dinner afterwards, assuming I don't have to buy all the groceries.

I'll seriously appreciate any help you can give Fixxxer. If my dad makes it over like he called and said he'll try to do, then we should be fine with me, you, my dad, Tiff's cousin, and Andrew if he can make it.

If I can get you guys to help me out, I'll take you and Drew out to dinner one night. I've got a ton to do that work weekend so I doubt I could do it that night like we did on your move, but I'll make it up to you at some point.

I'll attempt to finagle one of works cargo vans, but no guarantee on that.

Too bad I didn't live in the area, else I'd offer my body up to the moving god too. Sadly though the cost of a plane ticket down there for the weekend is a tad much more than I can afford right now. I'm even free on Easter weekend too, seeing as I don't have family up here at the moment.

Oh so its the old "I live 3000 miles away else I would help" excuse. Ok, I see how it is. <_<

lol, well before all you guys start planning your trips, let me make sure I actually need you. If Fixxxer can make it which it sounds like he can and my dad makes it down like he says he's going to do his best to do, then I should be fine. I don't have that much furniture and I'm going to try and have all the small stuff moved on Friday so that Saturday all that we have to get is big stuff.

And I don't have any 6 ton water beds or anvils on stumps to move like someone I know.

Thats fine, just let me know if you need me.

And make sure that you empty the waterbed next time. Water is freakin heavy.

haha, he did empty it, but apparently it still retains some in cells or something. I'll let him tell you about it. But there were three of us. I'm not a small guy and Fixxxer and Drew are all much bigger than me and we all struggled mightily working together to get that thing down the stairs and into the truck.

Big doesn't always equal strong (except maybe the smell after moving a bunch of stuff ;)).

I've got a friend of mine that's about 5' 8-9" and weighs 140-ish. Yet he's by far stronger than I am, and pound per pound one of the strongest people I've ever met. He's always been insanely strong, but I think it comes from the fact that he's a mechanic by nature and loves tearing apart engines and such. One needs to have good arm strength to be able to life an engine out of a vehicle without help. I've got another friend who's 6' 5" and weights roughly 350 lbs. He's a very large person, even his arms, but he's got no muscles, and can barely lift up anything over 40 pounds.

But I'm just picking on you guys because I haven't actually gotten a chance to arm wrestle any of you yet. I'm not very strong upper body wise myself but I've got me some 'guns'. I'll get my chance to arm wrestle Fix though come September. :D

I have a waveless matress, so even after removing all the water I could via a shop vac, the baffle material inside the matress still retains a great deal of water.

I think Aladdar's just bitter about having to help move my anvil. :D

No, not bitter at all. I'll get you back, we have three flights of stairs at my current place. lol

That said, how much did it cost you to rent your truck for the move Fix?
