So over the last few days I've read a good portion of scholarship and gotten a solid idea for my paper for my class on satire in literature. Yesterday I pulled most of the pertinent quotes that I'm going to use. Today I drew up my battleplan - errr, outline - and finished pulling quotes. I'd like to begin writing but it seems that I just can't concentrate. I'm exhausted. If I could just push this out tonight, I would be that much closer to freedom on the morrow! That much closer to the day I rush out and buy The Sims 2: Open for Business expansion! That much closer to beginning my vacation in earnest! But it's just not coming. My bones tell me that I should wait until tomorrow and recover some of my mental fortitude but - but - I want to be done.

If you've got your quotes then that's half the battle. I'm sure I don't have to tell you, the english buff, about the essentials for a key-hole essay. That's the basis for how I wrote every paper in college. Well, except my senior thesis paper. That was all just plain hardwork. If nothing else just type some basic ideas, even just one or two words if they're not coherent right now. When you wake up in the morning look it over and those tid bits will give you insight into what you were thinking tonight. That'll allow you to maximize what you're doing tonight and utilize a fresh brain tomorrow.

Oh I've got my battle plan ready - I just don't have the energy to begin the writing. I decided to relax with some Sims time and then the Sims began giving me trouble. So I had to remove all of my custom downloads for now, since I discovered they were causing the trouble. I'll have to redownload the necessary stuff but I have discovered there's a lot of it I can live without, so long as I can play my Sims.
I know, I know, it's pathetic. But I'm fond of my Sims and a new expansion is on the horizon for me. Anyway, my paper will get done tomorrow. I'd like to do all of it but I'm not sure if I can; my mom wants me to go to her place and help her shop for some things she forgot to get before she had surgery. Once I am done with my paper I'm thinking of making Fixxxer's chicken soup for her.

I'm almost half way done with my paper, thank god. Tomorrow I will be busy grading student papers but then all of that will be done and I will have nothing left to do but finish my paper (funny, it's called a paper but it's not actually on paper yet. Guess it would be weird to call it my pixels...) I's exhausted but stupidly grateful. |
