Thrug's mood had changed quickly. Just moments ago he had been daydreaming of roast duck and grilled pork. Now his expression changed, his lips curled into a snear and his ever present tooth seemed to jut further from his face and glisten in the sun. Thrug spoke up in the languages of the orcs, then did what he does best.

Moving one square south and taking a swing

/OOC To those who may speak orc (so if you don't speak orc you don't need to read all this) I said "This was your doing! You will die for your actions!" Unlike Thrug's less than firm hold on Common, he speaks Orc very well for someone of his intelegence.

ooc: you can only take one standard action in a surprise round, so do you still want to move towards the goblin?

If its not hit by the time I go, ill use magic missile. If it is hit, Ill draw my dagger, and throw it.

Ill change my actions if it dies, or more come.

Thurg moved down towards the goblin brandishing his sword menacingly screaming in orcish at the top of his lungs. Seeing the huge fighter lunge towards him, the goblin retreated. It was at this point that Thurg noticed the other goblin hiding into the woods who launched it's javelin towards the sorcerer balancing on the edge of the pit trap. The javelin flew through the air and striking the sorcerer across the thigh. Luckily it did not hit any vital organs.

I hit the one that threw a javelin at me with a magic missile spell. Then I draw another dagger, so now I am holding two.

Angered by the attack on her, Drusilla let's lose a glowing orb from her fingertips which rushes towards the goblin. It explodes upon its chest and it howls in pain, but remains standing.

hopefully I'm hidden, if not I shall use the cover of the trees to hide, then move to a position for a clear shot with my crossbow. I will aim for the one that Threw the Spear at Dru.

Um, I can move 5 feet still, but I already went, and it is your turn, so...

I think so.

Everything was occurring before Rúmil could even think. First they had come across a body obviously desecrated, then Jack had asked him to perform rights, which he would have done without question. The next, Drusila sprung some type of trap, Thurg was yelling in orcish and now…now they were being attacked.

Before he let himself get caught up in any thoughts too deep or philosophical, Rúmil drew his Morningstar and advanced into the brush to deal with the perpetrators. Whoever was doing this would pay for attempting to waylay travelers. With his voice raising as he crashed through the underbrush Rúmil shouted, “By Fharlanghn’s own I shall see this roadside safe!”

OOC: Rúmil draws his Morningstar (move equivalent action), moves one south, and one southwest into the brush to engage the foe (even though I can't get a swing in this round) that threw the javelin.

Thurg advanced into battle, moving South towards the goblins. He swung his massive sword with two hands towards the goblin. The flesh of the goblin offered little resistance as his massive sword cut through it's neck clipping it clean from his shoulders.

Rumil advanced towards the remaining goblin raising his morningstar above his head. The goblin was trapped. The ferocious fighter was to his left and the cleric was to his right. Seeing nowhere to go, he too drew his morningstar and swung as hard as he could towards the cleric. His morningstar found an opening between the cleric's shield and slammed into his shoulder. Rumil heard no bones break however and aside from a large bruise he should be fine.

Thurg: Atk 15+5 (hits)
Thurg: Dmg 8+7
Thurg has slain goblin 1
Goblin 2: Atk 15+2 (hits)
Goblin 2: Dmg 2
Rumil: Current HP 6

Next action: Jack

OOC: Aladdar, I should be in the brush directly to the right of Goblin 2, or at least that's how I read how I moved, not standing out in the road.

OOC: you're right. I missed the southwest and only read it as west. I'm fixing it right now.

OOC: No Problem. I'm wondering if you shouldn't use #'s and Letters attached to the column and rows to avoid this in the future. Then if someone wanted to go in a direction they could say they're starting from A1 going to A2, then to B2 for example.
