Well apparently some spider must have gotten really pissed at me a few nights ago while I slept because I woke up Saturday morning with about 7 bites all over my arm, 5 of them right in the same area. The seperated ones don't bother me too much, but the area where there are several bites all together has swollen up a bit and hurts like crazy.

It's much better tonight than it was earlier today and yesterday but it still hurts. I'm hoping it wasn't a brown recluse as I've dealt with one of those bites before and it wasn't fun, but still it's hard to use my finger on my hand where it bit me so many times because of all the swelling.

Now how many times have we told you, "you can't gain super powers by letting insects bite you."

Seriously tho, get better. If you haven't already get some Benadryl it'll help.

oh, ouch.

they're hard to get this time of year, but if you have any emergency bee sting kits, putting that stuff on the bites can bring the swelling down really fast.

feel better

man, i bet that hurts. but i can already tell you haven't been bitten by a brown recluse. you probably already know, aladdar, that one bite has been known to kill most people, much less seven. you might want to go ahead and visit a doctor or something.

Brown recluse bites don't often lead to death in healthy young people. They do make you quite sick, but unless you're a child or elderly you probably won't die from it.

I have known quite a few people who have taken a brown recluse bite and lived to tell the tail. One guy my dad works with lost a toe but thats because he waited way too long to go to the doctor. I got bit by an assassin bug once, now that FREAKIN HURT. I though I was going to die.

A while back, I woke up to find strange puncture marks in the back of my knee. It seriously looked like a Vampire had its way. The next few days were one of the worst experiences of my life. I honestly thought I was going to die curled up on my couch, shaking and unable to move. Damn this south. I feel you.

I've been bitten by a recluse before and it really wasn't that bad. I wound up with a small hole in my hand that looked like what it looks like if you have a wart burned off but that eventually healed over though. I may call the dr on this though cause there's just so many of them all together. The few spots where there's just one bite by itself don't hurt at all, but where there's like 4 all on top of each other hurts like crazy.
