Ever hear a song that just transports you and makes your day a much better place? Just about every song on the radio was awesome this afternoon, but then I heard:

"I don't wanna touch you too much baby
Cause making love to you might drive me crazy
I know you think that love is the way you make it
So I don't wanna be there when you decide to break it
No

Love bites, love bleeds
It's bringin' me to my knees
Love lives, love dies

Love bites, love bleeds
It's bringin' me to my knees
Love lives, love dies
It's no surprise
Love begs, love pleads
It's what I need"

And suddenly I felt a smile all over my face, and I realized I knew quite well what it felt like to not want to touch someone because you actually want to touch them more than anything in the world. I've been able to go forward anyway more than once in my life, and remembering that, I felt blessed. And I remembered being mad with passion in a way that only poets can try to render, I remembered being a creature made up of senses and not needing much more, and I remembered moments of bliss that could not be tarnished, whatever followed after.

And I've been smiling all day.

Hmmm. I don't know that one.

Usually, heavy metal tends to make me feel better; great if you want to empower yourself. Either that, or I kick ass in Stepmania. :D

So does fate, just ask their drummer. ;)

Still have to hand it to him tho, being able to play drums after the accident is amazing.
When you're making an Adventure, remember to ask, "WWMPD" (What Would My Player's Do?) Then tailor your adventure around that.

A lot of good metal comes from Sweden. Half of my metal collection: Hypocricy, the Abyss, Amorphis and many others.

This weekend I'm going to Kaisers Orchestra. A Norwegian band, does anyone know it? I've heard good things about them.

pretty much anything by old school Def Lepard or Bon Jovi.

In fact, were I a baseball player, my walkup music would be.

"SHOT TO THE HEART, and you're too blame. Baby you give love a bad name."
"Love makes the world go round. And has been known to provide a +2 circumstance to certain skill checks."

Aerosmith and AC/CD have that effect on me. There are also a couple Everclear songs that get to me.

Before martial arts tournaments I'd often listen to Man-o-War, specifically "Defender" or "Blackwind, Fire and Steel". If you've never heard of them I'd take this opportunity to check 'em out. Especially if you cared for the Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordan. I swear they drew a great deal of their inspiration from those books.

But anymore, if I really want to feel emotionally connected with the music all I have to do is listen to anything classical. It stirs the soul.
