I brought the fish that you sent me over to Fixxxer's tonight since his never made it. He cooked it up for us. I was a little concerned because I normally don't like fish but I must say, that this was absolutely THE best fish I've ever eaten in my entire life. I greatly appreciate the gift. Fixxxer mixed it with some mojo and a few other spices and grilled it and I haven't tasted anything that good in a while.

It was wonderful.

He sent us both a package full of halibut. Unfortunately, mine never arrived because UPS is a stupid stupid dumbhead, but I still got to enjoy it through Aladdar. It was indeed very good.

Well, I'm glad you liked it. I think that Fixxxer might have ahd a small part in making it taste so good tho, so I can't take all the credit. ;)

I did send some fish to some folks. I didn't have a great deal of it, but I'm always glad to send some out to folks. Especially those who haven't had a chance to taste Halibut before.

Which reminds me, I'll have to remember to pack some for the trip to DragonCon. If you've never had it it is a must have. I'll have to scare a means to deep fry it, but I think we could have a bit of a cook-off between myself and Fix. :)

When you're making an Adventure, remember to ask, "WWMPD" (What Would My Player's Do?) Then tailor your adventure around that.

Iron Chef: Freaky Alaskan Fish!

So what exactly is this mojo I keep hearing about? The only things I can think of are bad Austin Powers quotes and an old game about a guy who gets turned into a cockroach.

Dave, dear Dave. after spending how many D&D sessions at my house do you not know what Mojo is? Oh wait Rich always cooked. It is a spanish juice spice. Mojo Criolo(is the brand name) It makes chicken, fish, sometimes steak as well taste all kinds of yummy.

I'm not remembering any mojo. I remember an ass load of balsamic vinagar and everglades seasoning and essence of Emril (BAM!) but no mojo. :dunno:

Mojo is not Spanish, it's Cuban. It's a sort of marinade made from citrus juice (usually oranges), garlic, paprika and other yummy things. As I know you have a Publix nearby, let me direct you to the ethic foods isle. Publix packages and sells their own version, which I haven't tried. The brand in my fridge is from a company called Badia, which packages quite a few of the spices you'll find at the average spice isle. Just soak some chicken pieces in it in a zip-top bag for a few hours, then grill or broil them as per normal. Yummy.
