I don't think you would need to change your DNS (Which is a Domain Name System or Domain name server - its the computer with the list of what domain name goes with what IP address) unless you had previously registered that domain name with another company like GoDaddy. If you registered a domain name with 2mhost then this should have been taken care of for you because the domain was not linked to any other IP address.

Check and see what your DNS is set to now. Go to www.2mhelpdesk.com (the support site) and in the middle is search box in the Account Information section. Type in the domain you got and it should bring up a nice information window (its full of all sorts of information that is not exactly nessassary but nice to have). One thing it should list is the primary and secondary DNS for your site. I belive they should be dns1.2mhost.com and dns2.2mhost.com. If thats all in line you should be able to start uploading (you can follow the link in that info page to your cPanel and then go into the file manager) and in theory if you upload files to the public_html directory you have a web page at www.yoursite.com.

I just put all my files in the public_html folder. That should make the directory yourdomainname.com/yourfile.html

Is yours doing something diffrent?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. I think I see now. Thanks.

Not a problem. I wish someone had told me that too. ;)

Well, it looks like my site has been converted successfully, for the most part. I reformatted my Vampire site and my web ring to the D&D graphics set and moved everything. I'm sure I missed something somewhere along the line, but hey. You'll let me know, right?

A few broken linkis I noticed. In Kismet's Haven the link to download fonts is broken. Pics from the '99 Sandiago ComicCon is missing. When attempting to get to weekly rants- page one from the other pages, the link is broken.

Other than that the only thing I find wrong is that the "Which Star Trek Character are you?" quiz on your live journal says I'm friggin Chekov! Guess its not so bad... as long as I don't need to locate any nuclear wessels. <_<

Congrats on getting everything up and running!

I fixed the things you mentioned, and thank you for doing so. I probably won't have much time to futz with it from now until my paper is done. I tried to get as much done today as I could.

Found another broken link. Using the menu on the left, clicking on My Picture Album opens a new window with an AOL Hometown 404 error. It wasn't doing this last night.
