I don't know if you realize this, but most message board forums have in-depth agreements that you have to agree to in order to use the service. Most message boards also have stipulations that basically say: if you post it, they can, if they wish, publish what you've posted without your consent or your knowledge. They probably never will, but they can. This might not mean anything to you if you don't care what you post, or what you make for a game. Others, however, might hesitate to post anything they've put a lot of energy into, or anything they might want to make money out of, because they don't want to give up their rights to it. I understand this completely. My suggestions is this: if you want to post something here, or on any other message board, post a link to the material instead. Throw the stuff up on a web site and make your copyright known on that site on every page your material occurs. That way you can make it look great and keep it entirely in your control, but you can point others to it easily. Kismet |
