sajid nadiadwala is adapting chetan bhagat's best seller 2 states and siddharth anand is directiing it... to play the lead roles of krish n ananya, loads of people were considerd but no 1 is finalized yet.... i want the people who ve read the novel to choose their ananya n krish out of these choices (i m not putting in srk as i cant stand him as a fresh mba graduate) abhay deol - asin ranbir kapoor - asin imran khan - priyanka ranbir kapoor - anushka sharma abhay deol - rani mukerji shahid kapoor - asin ranbir kapoor - kajal agrawal neil nitin mukesh - rani mukerji others plz mention |

I just read this book last week. I think the perfect Ananya would be Asin and Anushka a close second. For Krish I would go for Ranbir or Shahid. 1. Ranbir-Asin 2. Shahid-Asin 3. Ranbir-Anuskha I vote for Ranbir and Asin. Also, just to say, I cannot understand how or why SRK was considered for this role! Edited by Vinz, Feb 28 2012, 03:13 PM.

I have read this book multiple times and am pretty sure my sister & I are the biggest fans. Haha.  I voted Ranbir & Asin, only because Kunal Kapoor isn't an option.

Sorry, I didn't even SEE the Abhay-Asin option. WHOOPS. That would've been my vote.  Sorry. Abhay & Asin would've been perfect. But *sigh*...when I read the book, it was Kunal Kapoor in my head. Hahaha. But Abhay is a good 2nd option.....and definitely more sell-able!

Read the book and LOVED IT. Ananya? Asin is the ONLY girl who could totally justify the role. Anushka did come to mind a few times too, I admit. Other than these two though, no one else can even be considered. As for Krish... I'm a little stuck. Shahid Kapoor came to mind the most, so I'd probably say him. Ranveer Singh & Abhay Deol also came to mind quite often. After those 3, Ranbir Kapoor also crossed my mind a few times but not as much. And strangely, at times I did also think of Saif Ali Khan (though a younger version) and Imran Khan lol. And..err... It SHOCKS THE LIFE OUT OF ME THAT SHAH RUKH KHAN WAS EVER CONSIDERED. Which filmmaker considered him for such a role? Paagal che kya :| LMAO. My vote would go to: 1. Shahid & Asin!!!!!!! They'd be perfect. After them, possibly: 2. Abhay & Asin, 3. Ranveer Singh & Asin, 4. Abhay &Anushka 5. Ranveer Singh & Anushka. 6. Ranbir Kapoor & Asin 7. Ranbir Kapoor & Anushka |

I may be in minority here but I would want total unknown faces in this adaptation. One of my problem with 3idiots was that none of those characters became characters from the book. I saw Amir , Madhavan on screen. Only Shraman Joshi had that persona to bring characters from the book. I believe when it comes to Chetan Bhghat's novel, our filmmakers should rely less on stars and more on new faces. |
