OZ ... The Great and Powerful!!
|
So I stop in the Fry's in Vegas.....wow.....50 motherboards hanging on the wall ....64 checkout registers.....it's like being in the Newegg warehouse. I want one in my neighborhood. Prices are pretty good if you know what you're doing....but the instant gratification of being able to grab any little doodad ya need for a decent price is....priceless! But then we have the entertainment value: All these morons walking around acting like they know what they are doing with PC builds....LOL! Then the salesmen roll in and take them on a Magical Mystery Tour....getting them to buy worse hardware for more money.... all the while telling the dumbshits how smart they are....it was comedy at it's finest! I was dying! Plus they have as many salesman as customers.....and it takes about 20 minutes to get out of the parking lot.....so you can do the math.....those sales guys are having a party....with those Computer geniuses! Cha...ching! The other cool thing...the place is gigantic....and there's even a whole section for Macs.....except there are 9 million people in the store and just one dude hanging in AppleLand. And what a beauty he was...Big, fat-slob,,pigeon-toed, knock-kneed,right off the short-bus with his Clark Kent glasses on .Gee....he didn't look cool like the Mac dude in the commercials....quick somebody call my boy Billy...I got an idea. |

ROTFLMAO!!! And we thought it couldn't get any better than the Cirque du Solei at BB or CC (R.I.P.) All they need is a 16 hose Hooka in the home entertainment room for an esoteric audio-emersion/sensory deprivation experience...

Rofl. But that's the beauty of the Apple. They don't need a storefront, they sell everything through the internet which is probably good for the Apple considering their sales people. ![]() I'm an old Amiga loser though, so what in the heck do I know. Fantastic machine made by brilliant minds who chose the wrong company to work for. However the c64 will always be in my heart, you know people still write demos for that little monster. There's a new one put out in 2010 that featured full frame video. Pardon me for hijacking this post.
