AVAST YE ... DEAD MEN DON'T BITE!
|
Just our normal Sat ... except I almost lost an eye. Was weed eating, normally have sunglasses on but they broke yesterday, so anyhow a rock comes flying up and nails me in the right eye before I could blink or turn away. I could not open my eyes, made it hard to even find the front door. It was about 30 min before I could go back and continue. Lawn is done, but man my eye hurts! |

Glad to hear you survived the battle with the killer weed whacker Taz. If you experience continuous pain in the eye, redness, blurry vision (you know the drill), you need to go to a walk-in clinic and get it looked at. A friend got hit in the eye with a baseball recently and months later he is still having issues. Hopefully you were hit in the corner of the eye and not in the center. Take care of yourself and keep us up to date. Cate |

Thanks Cate, Yes it was in the corner, I was looking down and sideways when it hit me ... so when I'm looking straight you cannot see the discoloration. Vision is a bit blurry, but probably due to the slight swelling. Some redness and irritation .. but hey, I got hit with a rock ... I'm just glad that it was a smooth rock, Edited by Tazman, Jun 28 2008, 08:28 PM.

Taz, ditto on the previous advice and get some safety glasses so it doesn't happen again, your vision is too important to leave to chance!
