Update: Finished Jedi Knight II-Jedi Outcast and it was really cool. It starts out a bit slow, but when you start getting your Force Powers it becomes really fun. Nothing like thowing the old Darth Vader choke-hold on a StormTrooper, holding him in mid-air for a moment, and then pitching him against a wall. Kinda' fun.

It's not the longest game by a long shot, but the time spent was enjoyable. And it's cheap!! Would recommend.

Now I'm looking to finishing MoH-Allied Assault (I'm stuck on Omaha beach.......super tough) or moving on to Freedom Force.

Happy Gaming!

Yeah, the MOHAA Omaha Beach mission is on my last nerve. Tried about 5 times last night (again) and still couldn't get to the shingle. Super frustrating and lot's of cussing, but I'll get it eventually.

Mullet,

The two Delta Force games can be entertaining. The computer AI is virtually non-existent, but playing on hardest level can give you a few fits.

Heretic II was supposed to be good. I've never played it. I beleive Harpoon II is a World War II submarine sim. If I'm not mistaken, its one of the better sims around.

E-Thomas

Taz is right. Getting to the shingle is really only half the battle. Good luck getting up to the gun placements. And... if your at Omaha Beach, your just getting started on MOHAA. Best game I've ever played!

Thanks for the info fellas. I'll keep at it.

I like the comment that the game just really starts at Omaha....that makes me want to push-on even harder and with more patience.

Thought everyone might like to hear this boneheaded move I made on Thursday night:

I installed a new mobo and CPU......... and forgot to save my MOHAA save games prior to doing a fresh install of Windows XP!!!

All went well with the install but around 1/2 way thru getting Windows set-up I realized my dilemia with my save games.

Taking a positive outlook: I figure I will only be that much of a better player by the time I work my way back to the Omaha beach mission.

Oh yeah, and I was at least 15 hours into the first Icewind Dale... that one really hurts.

As of now Im playing:

BF2
BF2:SF
Counter-Strike:Source
DoD:Source
Call of Duty 2
Age of Empires 3

but I also have...
BF1942
BF:Vietnam
Delta Force
Delta Force 2
Deer Hunter 1, 2, and 5.
MOHAA
MOHAA SpearHead

I tried installing MOHAA the other only to find to my dismay that the disk is scratched. That really makes me mad as I was looking for a good ole ' WW2 game singleplayer. So I went and bought CoD 2.

As to DoD...it's okay, but the beta was ten times better. I stopped playing DoD v1.x after a couple of months. <_<

Ouch that hurts ... :D

I did that once, backed up everything except 5 yrs of banking history ... what a chore that was to manually re-enter.

Anyone know if and when War Rock is gonna re-open the servers?

Yep, the Beta test is over ... but they hinted that they might let all beta players have access once the game goes public.

Taz, after hearing that I don't feel so bad. Sorry to hear that. At this point on MoHAA I've moved past the Omaha Beach mission and am starting Mission 6 (last misssion). I still haven't gotten the motivation to try and reach where I was at in Icewind Dale.

Since I've upgraded my computer I've started to play Doom3. I'm torn on this one because the graphics are simply amazing but as I'd heard previously the gameplay is repetitive. If one more Imp jumps out from a hidden area when I grab a health pack......!! I still find it fun but wish there was a little more innovation in the gameplay, but I'll still play it through.
