Hi All Im trying to make a Video Card choice to put in my emachines T6003. The MoBo (MS-7093) has a PCI Express 16x slot. At this time Im looking at, Sapphire/ATi Radeon X700 Pro 256MB PCI Express $144. Or GeForce 6600 GT PCI Express 128MB $163. If any one has This MoBo (MS-7093) with a good gaming PCI card combo please let me know. The setup is WIN XP Home, Mainboard MSI MS-7093, CPU AMD Athion 64 3000+, Hard Drive 200GB, DVD+/-RW Drive, 4x256MB Sticks of DDR3200 Dual Channel, This mainboard has the integrated ATi RADEON XPRESS 200 with 128MB shared memory. |

Well, fly8mq, guess what? I have the T6522, and it has the ms-7093 board in it. I bet you're also guessin what video card i have. Yes, it is indeed the radeon x700 pro pci-e. This card is friggen awesome, and runs very smoothly. I have no complaints about it. Well, maybe that I paid $199 for it, and you found it at $144 |

From what I know, both card you mentioned a VERY good cards! I would choose the 6600 just because of the great reviews! You might want to flip a coin though! |

i wouldnt exactly flip a coin... The ms-7093 board has an ATI chipset (north + south bridge). I believe the ATI chipset would better like "talking" with an ATI card. I believe there will be less issues to worry about, and you always know an ATI card will be compatible and fully supported. Just my opinion

So what you are saying clockstopper is that it's a no-brainer. If you are an AMD person, you go with the same brand as your chipset for max performance. nvidia or ATI. Sorted! |
