* Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition * AMD Athlon™ XP 3000+ Processor QuantiSpeed™ Architecture operates at 2.167 GHz 512KB L2 cache & 333MHz FSB * nVIDIA® nForce™2 * 512 MB DDR (PC 2700) Expandable to 2 GB * 160 GB HDD (7200 RPM) 1 Hi, i just recieved my 9800pro today after much MUCH waiting, and well... its not working very well. it works fine when im not running a game, say browsing the web for an instance. but whenever i play certain games like half-life 2, bf vietnam and even... hitman contracts, the monitor stops receiving pictures after a few mins of playing or sometimes when i try to change the resolution a bit higher. i've played these games fine even with my late integrated geforce 4. i've updated graphics drivers and deleted all nvidia drivers using the "driver cleaner." probably not a psu issue, cause even when the video card hangs, everything continues to spin and run. please help. ps: the heatsink, fan, is not entirely touching the card, though its locked firmly. pps: some forums said to update my bios, how do i do this? i have model t3065, FIC AU31. ppps: maybe i did something wrong with the on-board video card? i uninstalled its drivers and "disabled" it through device manager. THANKS TO ALL |
