Ok so I went out and bought a mx 4000 predator plus pci card for my T1090. My machine is running XP, has 512 of ram and a second 80 gig hard drive. I put the drivers in with the disk first, then plugged in the card after shutting down. Windows recognized it but didnt't use it. Then I just couldn't get my video going with the card in. I have pci selected in my bios and finally figured out to uninstall the onboard video in the device manager under system not display. Now I get the splash screen and bios if I want but no video after that. I have been fooling with this since Friday. All I really want it for is to play Day of Defeat. I have read up on this here alot.

Now I can get it to start but the card wont run. It says that there is a mass strorage device in pci port 1 or 2, whatever port it's in. When windows starts I can go to device manager and select it but it won't run it says error code f10 i believe. I tried installing and running the drivers anyway and got the BSOD. I guess I could:

Return it.

Call Mad Dog's help line.

Pour a gallon of gas on myself and light myself on fire at the Mad dog office parking lot.

Yeah, I pulled out my 2 devices and restarted and then tried, no dice. Today I called the company and the guy who I got said that f10 was a code indicating defective hardware. He suggested I exhange the card and try again. Thanks for the reply Lubner, I'll keep you posted! pirate
