Hello, I'm a noob to this forum as I just got my Dad's old Emachines T2082 with the ECS L7Vmm2 board that I'm trying to upgrade. I added a Volari V3 video card and sometimes the system won't reboot. I added the latest drivers, I went into BIOS and made sure the system boots to AGP first. Most of the time the system boots normally. On certain occasions the system won't reboot, Windows shuts down and then nothing. The fans stay on but the screen is black, and there is no hard drive activity. It seems like it either a BIOS issue or a PSU issue. If it's a PSU issue why would the computer boot normally and perform normally 90% of the time. I think BIOS because the screen just goes blank when rebooting, BIOS doesn't have a chance to do it's prescan. Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and great forum. |
