633ids: TNT2 better than built-in?; Which way should I go?

My father gave me a "stock" 633ids that I'm planning to upgrade some. I know it only takes PCI video, and the only PCI video card I have on-hand right now is a Riva TNT2 card from Creative. Is that card going to be any better than the onboard video already on the mobo? I'm not going to be doing any hard-core gaming, so unless the TNT2 is a solid win over onboard, I probably won't mess with it unless I get a hold of a more modern PCI card.

I'm also planning on putting a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz card in here, as well as a faster CPU at some point. It's already got 256MB on it, and I'll be putting XP Home or XP Pro on it as well. This is mainly going to be for the young kids to play games and get familiar with computers, and for the wife to check email and go shopping (!).

OFFICIAL SEARCH ENGINE.. & BIOS BADBOY..!
Most any video card over 8Mb is a great improvement on that board since the onboard is limited to 8Mb. It will help taking away resources from the CPU as well. For upgrading the CPU and ram look at this trend and check out TD's site for your systems full spec. and other upgrades. Good Luck

Thanks. I've been lurking a bit and see how informative and helpful these fora and it's participants are.

I'll try the TNT2, and can probably eventually scare up something nicer in the future.
