Hi friends, I have a 667ir with a bad BIOS chip. (previously discussed in a very short discussion regarding flashing the BIOS- ended in failure due to bad chip/ soldered to the board) Does anyone know what to get? I would really like to find a direct replacement for this MB where I can just move all of the 'stuff' over and GO. In other words, is this a socket 7 or 8? I can trade your computer knowledge for my biology knowledge! ;>) Anyone know what this one is? Thanks in advance!

The 667ir uses the Anaheim-3 mobo...socket 370.
Might find a direct replacement HERE or eBay.
If you go with an aftermarket mobo, you'll need a full version OS disk as your restore disk will not work.

Excellent information-Thanks! This is an Intel Celeron, so this puts me on the right track! Also, very nice to know ahead of time that the restore disks will not work with the AfterMarker boards. In my case, this would be critical. Yes, I need a direct replacement for this MB for this to be worth my investments. Thanks again!
