Hello all! I've bought an etower 533i age ago and i tried everything to acheive higher speeds than Ultra DMA mode 2 for my harddrive. I upgraded the bios and added 384mb of ram , I have bought a UDMA-5 40Gig hardrive and a 80 wire cable, pluged everything right, it's alone in the in the Primary Chanel in "Master" and i still see at bios bootup ULTRA DMA MODE 2 and also in the device manager in xp i see udma2. is there a way to force UDMA5? or if the floridaTG/tga board is not capable what can i buy to make it capable, i don't mind soldering or messing with it if it will make it go past that udma2 :D

If the board is not capable, you will need to buy an ATA100/133 controller PCI card. Some of these also have other goodies built in i.e. RAID
