CrystalCPUID now supports these older processors (K6-2+, K6-3+). This should give the benefits of PowerNow-like technology to motherboards that don't support it--including desktop boards. The instructions are in Japanese and converted to English, so it's a little tricky figuring out the site, but it's there. Just click on "Download Center" and downlad 4.2 or later. I use this on my upgraded laptop, and it works fine. (It's an Athlon XP based system, so I don't have the specifics on how it works on the older boards). The real advantage is that you can customize your own multipliers and voltage levels. http://crystalmark.info/?lang=en |

OZ ... The Great and Powerful!!

The programs K6speed and CTU have been around for about 4 years and enable Powernow as well in the Kplus series. If there are any issues w/ CM and you need them let me know. |
