Hello, has anyone experienced getting the "ok to turn off Computer" screen instead of the computer shutting off by itself after installing WINXP?? I updated the bios to flotg200 and added 2 sticks of 128 meg ram and upgraded the harddrive to a 20gig drive. Under Win98 the bios is ACPI Compliant, however under WinXP it gives the above screen message. Has anyone had a similar problem?? Regards. Frank |

Maybe when you updated the BIOS, the settings changed. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;810903 |

Cast in the name of God, Ye not guilty.

Start -> Settings -> Control Pannel -> Power Options -> Click APM Tab -> Check the box next to "Enable Advanced Power Managment support." If that doesn't work or doesn't show up double check and make sure that ACPI is enabled in the bios. |
