I'm sure you all heard the same Questions day in and day out about the eOne system, but with the search featured disabled, I am not able to find out these answers!
I think I'll be going on the risky side and upgrading the hard drive in my eOne system to a full 250GB hard drive. Yes, you all think I'm crazy, but this eOne system I've just purchased would make a perfect FTP/networking computer. In my past, I had great experience with the Western Digital hard drives. My etower did accept both my 80gb and 120gb at the same time! That is a full 200GB there . With the tools Western digital provides their clients, it enables their systems to accept a WD hard drive. My only concern is the voltage...
Also, when it comes to upgrading the processor, did anybody have luck with over clocking the 533 celery with a 3rd party hardware? Again, from reading the up grader’s log, one person stated that he or she tried it, but voltage was a problem. But, with looking at the over clocking section at the e4all website it seems it works. Finally, another thing to toss at about the eOne system. With that dang networking/dial up combo card! I was wondering if anybody attempted to fool around with the IRQ or I/O address. With having an A+ class session about hard ware and the possibilities of hard ware not working could be an IRQ was assigned incorrectly. Most likely somebody made an attempt to do this, but I just want to make sure. Thanks all and have a great Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!
