Working on a 333k here and installed an AMD k6-2 450... all is well there but I cannot get the memory to clock up to 100mhz, it stays at pc66 no matter what I try. J16 & J17 are set to 100mhz but no joy. Any one have any ideas about this older system? Thank you for any input Mark |

Are you sure you have them set correctly? They are reversed of what you would normally think ... if you left them at the factory setting, then you will be at 66 mhz and you will need to just reverse them. If you have them set correctly check to see that you have the front side bus set correctly, as the memory bus is dependant on the FSB. Here are the jumper settings from TD's site: Delhi lll Jumpers |

FSB is set at 100mhz or I would have never got the AMD 450mhz to speed and yes I did reverse the J16 & J17 as they were at Factory Default... that is why I am so confused as to why this board wont clock up to sdram 100mhz. It is a very easy Mobo to configure but thought maybe I was missing something so simple that I overlooked it. Thank you for your reply Mark |

That was a 100 mhz FSB also, maybe someone had already changed the memory bus to 100 mhz. Did you try switching them back? |

Yes I have tried both ways and everything else I can think of... been a tech for ten years and this one has me stumped. By the way, when the 333 was in it would not clock up to 100mhz either. Could be a bad pin on the board. Have a X-mas dinner tonight but will check back later... thank you again for your time. Mark |

If it is a bad pin/trace, maybe you could try a software solution like CPUCool after it boots to switch the speed on the fly. |
