:ph43r: can anyone tell me what good flashing your bios actually does? does it enable your board to take more memory?

Bios upgrades are usually for updating your system for the latest hardware (CPUs, HD, Video Cards, ect....) on the market or to improve performance. I your case a Bios flash will not increase amount of memory. BTW: A bad flash can make your system into a door stop.
