What are the best prices that you guys see these days for 256MB SDRAM Modules? I'm a bit of a newbie, and I did not know until I came here, that my etower 4333i could take 512 MB of RAM. I wish I had known earlier, before I bought the two 128MB Modules.

Is SDRAM harder to find now, as everybody is selling DDR? This would lead me to believe that it might not be as cheap now either, if supplies are smaller.

Also, where do you guys suggest that I buy it?

For 256MB 16x8 type, dble-sided low density, the price start around $55-60 and goes up, depending on the brand you look for and on the merchant, but check carefully the reseller'background (resellers.com) and clients's satisfaction.
Perhaps if you are lucky, you may find some for less, but it would be real luck. They used to go for about $35, not anymore on today's market.

Don't forget to read "Pinned: What kind of SDRAM to Use" at the top of the page in Older systems.

The best place I found to buy memory is from the PC show that travels around to different areas of the country. At least I know they travel up & down the east coast. I don't know where else they may go. You can try checking at http://marketproshows.com/ to see if they come anywhere in your area. They usually have 3 or 4 different venders that sell nothing but memory and you can buy used memory from some of the other venders at the show . I picked up a 256/pc133 Golden Ram for $49.95. It's working, I don't know if it's the best memory around, but like I said it's working.
