I'm new to this forum. I'm trying to upgrade my eMonster 500a. So far, I've managed to upgrade the original hard drive to a Seagate 120 GB drive. (It took me several weeks to make an exact clone of my original drive. For example, it took me a long time to realize that I needed to put the new drive where the original was, and then make the original drive the secondary master, in order to boot from the original drive, but still be able to see the new drive. Plus I have a dual boot Windows 98/2000 partition, and two partitions with different versions of OS/2, which I used to use more than Windows. Cloning the OS/2 partitions was incredibly easy.) Anyway, now I want to put in an ATI All-In-Wonder 9800 Pro graphics card/TV tuner. The problem is that it doesn't boot when this card is installed. I'm guessing I need a new BIOS. Would the BIOS mentioned in this week's thread "Napoli2 Latest bios v1.13" be the right one? At this time, I don't think I'll upgrade the processor, but someday I might. The other thing is that I'm wondering if I'll need a new power supply. Maybe it would be a good to put in a new PS because the old one is, well, old. What power supplies do you recommend? I would prefer not to have to drill any holes or change the case, and, everything else being equal, I would prefer a quieter power supply. Besides the new ATI graphics card (for which they recommend a 300W PS), the only thing new is a CD-RW burner. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

Yes, but you need file na2_113s.zip which solves the ATI boot issue.
Check this thread for PSU's |
