I can not get anything to download from a CD to my hard drive. It will play music CDs just fine, but can't be saved to WindowsPlayer, RealOne, etc. I've tried to upgrade Win98 to Win98SE from the CD. The download stops and the computer freezes up without any "error" messages. This same thing happens when saving music from CD.

If I download programs from the Internet, they download and install without a problem.

I'm guessing the CD player is to blame?

OK...I have replaced the CD-ROM drive (twice) and I still have the same problem. So, I'm guessing that the CD-ROM drive is not to blame? Any other possible solutions to try? Thanks!
