Heck I'm planning on just doing my normal stuff (mow the lawn, fix things around the house etc) until Frances tells me different.  If I get all my chores done early enough I may even go for a swim in the pool.

Normal life ... hmmm - I used to have one of those. Then I became a single parent - and the ex actually agreed to keep his weekend with his son this time. During Charley he cancelled his weekend saying our son would be "safer" with me (he lives about 3 miles away from me). Guess he had a poker game calling to him that weekend.

this could be real interesting when your son makes an account here..

Also, does anybody know what the tool is called that takes the screws out of hard drives? They have these star shapes on the ends.

Harsh James. That won't be happening BTW. Thanks to XP he and I have separate logins (mine is under password), he doesn't know the address of this group AND he considers this "my" thing and has enough respect for me that he wouldn't try to "lurk". Now his father ... that's an entirely different story. He actually hacked into my e-mail at one point! There wasn't anything there for him to see, but he did it to prove to me he could.

Have you tried a Philips Head Screw Driver?

Yeah, I made Mrs.TD a pair of ear-rings out of those shiney platters, but for some reason she doesn't like to wear them....

Hmmm ... think I might have set the bar to high on the Gmail give away ... was just browseing through the member (made it through the J's) and there were a whole lot of 0 post and only a very few 3-4 that have more than 30 post. What's up with people joining a group and not ever posting?

I have gotten an allen wrench to work in a torx head before ... just find one that fits in tight!

On thing comes to mind when you speak of spinning it up w/o the lid on .. Eye Protection!

yeah thats what happened when i did it. there are only 39 people that have 30 posts or more.

i was thinking about having people post pics of their computers and giving them to the ones i deemed the coolest. also considered some sort of online "scavenger hunt"

Probably brings in radio stations ... Plus it's kinda like wearing those aluminum foil pointy hats! Just not stylish ;)

Reminds me of the time last year when i used a stick of PC100 for a key chain. I got some pretty strange looks. I threw it away though because it was a little unconfortable in my pocket.

and I got the platter off finally, i was able to use a .090" allen wrench
