I am new to overclocking, never tried it before, so I decided to try on this old POS first. But, I couldn't find anywhere in the BIOS to change the needed settings (for instance, voltage). All of the options are mostly Enable/Disable and sometimes Cache. I just got out of a live chat with tech support over & E-Machines. They said that it IS possible to overclock it but they would not tell me how or anytihng. So, I turn to you guys now for help!!! In case you've forgotten the model, it's an etower 433i, everything is stock except for the CD-ROM, not that that matters but I though I'd add it in anyway.

In the infinate wisdom that governs mass manufacturers like eMachines and HP/Compaq they basicly lock the BIOS so the avarage user doesn't burn up thier machine before the warranty expires . CoolCPU can allow you to adjust the FSB from inside the OS . A 10 to 15% bump is about all your likely to get performance wise . vcore , memmory timing and stepping are for the most part out of reach . A modified BIOS would be needed and finding one is very hard unless you write your own .
