First the Buccaneers win the Super Bowl, now the Tampa Bay Lightning win the Stanley Cup ... guess some folks can stop laughing now. B)

I watched the entire series and can truly say I'm proud of the Lightning. The Flames were tough and worthy competitors, but in the end it was the Lightning.

GO BOLTS!

I'm glad to see that Nikolai Khabibulin finally got a chance to have
his name on the cup. He got a raw deal here in Phoenix a few years
ago. He didn't deserve to leave under those conditions.
Congratulations, Tampa Bay Lightning!!!

Habby! The MAN! The WALL! He has grown so much.

I'm also so very happy for Dave Andreychuk. 22 seasons and leading this team to this victory. I can't describe how it made me feel when he picked up the Stanley Cup. He had to watch the final minutes from the penalty box, but somehow, I think that's how it was meant to be. He didn't see it as a blur - he saw it unfold in front of him! His team. His moment.

GO BOLTS

It certainly was a great series. As a former Calgary resident, it was tough to see the Flames let it slip away in game 6. Happy to see Dave Andreychuk finally win a Cup.

BTW, over 30,000 people showed up for a noon hour rally for the Flames at Calgary's Olymic Plaza today.

It turned out to be a good series. I didn't pick Calgary to get there.. I picked San Jose & Tampa to get there (and took a lot of crud for it, Tampa who?) for the final. I watched Tampa play St Louis, and although we beat them, I was pretty damn impressed with what they did and their defensive skills. The same feeling I had watching the Rangers team that went on to win the cup.

So maybe no hockey this fall. :( But at least we will have the world cup tournament to watch, and I think in all honestly it will be a better tournament than the Olympics.
