OZ ... The Great and Powerful!!
Continuing a long line of industry firsts, nVidia Corporation, the worldwide leader in visual processing solutions, today announced that it is the first to offer graphics solutions based on Graphics Double Data Rate 3 (GDDR-3) memory. This new memory technology allows for lower power and higher clock speed board designs when combined with nVidia GeForce FX graphics processing units (GPUs). Working with leading memory manufacturer Samsung, add-in card partners are preparing worldwide shipments of nVidia GeForce FX 5700 Ultra-based add-in-cards with 128MB of GDDR-3 graphics memory.

"nVidia has taken real-time rendering to a level where it is almost indistinguishable from the cinematic-quality rendering we see in movies," said Bryn Young, director of memory marketing and sales at nVidia. "High-speed memory technology such as Samsung's new GDDR-3 graphics memory is essential to our goal of advancing real-time graphics to photorealistic quality."

GDDR-3 graphics memory is the next evolution of high-speed DDR SDRAM technologies that have played a major role in enabling GPUs to drive complex geometries and character animations and deliver visual effects on par with the hottest motion pictures. GDDR-3 graphics memory enables higher memory clock frequencies at a lower power level with fewer components and less constraints on system designers. These technology advances enable nVidia partners to bring higher performance solutions to consumers at better prices.

"We have been working with nVidia to make GDDR-3 graphics memory a reality in the marketplace," said Mueez Deen, director of memory at Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. "nVidia is consistently an aggressive adopter of new technology and we are excited that an nVidia-based graphic solution has enabled Samsung to be the first to market with GDDR-3."

nVidia GeForce FX 5700 Ultra GPU-based graphics boards with 128MB of GDDR-3 will be available in mid-March from leading add-in card venders worldwide, including: Albatron, ASUS Computer International, BFG Technologies, Inc., eVGA.com Corporation, Gainward Co., Ltd., Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd., Leadtek Research, Inc., MSI, Palit Microsystems, Inc., Point of View, PNY Technologies, Inc., Sparkle Computer Co., Ltd., and XFX, a division of Pine.

Man you just gotta love e-filing your taxes and direct deposit. 2 weeks ago I got back my tax refund....all but 32 bucks....well I checked my bank balance today and guess what? Not only did I get my remaining 32 bucks, but got an ADDITIONAL 257.10 bucks to boot!!!!
Wonder how long it'll take before they catch it???

I bet this is part of that extra refund from 2003... I seem to remember that if you didn't apply for it you got it back with this years taxes.

Maybe an "inherited" trait ... Mr. Post Master General! Seems you might be her inspiration. Again - you should be very proud.

Actually what most people got back in July-August was an advance on this years tax return. If you got it, back then, you have to account for it when filling now.

Very Proud. She's up in her room now doing the homework. At school she has no study halls and elected to take no lunch, which I wouldn't let her do but she slid it past my wife. Humm, your scaring me Cate "inherited"????

I see... I don't know shit about taxes and shit seeing as I have never delt with them. Never the less what I am thinking about happened around fall of 2003... I seem to remember it expired nov 15. I remember my parents were going to do whatever it was but then never got around to it and that the irs website said that those that didn't file then would just get it back with 2004's taxes.

And it's only for people with kids. It was the increase from $600 to $1000 credit for each kid you have. The highest check people got was $400.00 per kid.

Yes, if you did not take advantage of it then you still get it now. I tried, but they said some stupid mubo jumbo about us having our own business and therefore they could not estimate what we should get .... blah blah blah ... had to wait and get it now.
