Hello all, I'm new to this board but I just wanted to pass along the news that I installed a new PCI card in my T1360 with no problems. Frankly I was expecting some sort of hiccup, but it was pretty straightforward. First I went into Device Manager and then disabled the onboard Intel video device. Then, rather than allowing the computer to restart I shut it down, installed the card, hooked up the moniter to the new card, and then restarted it myself. I went into BIOS but realized the machine was already set for PCI (this model has a Lomita motherboard, I guess no AGP at all). Next I installed Direct X 9, then the card's video drivers, and voila! I was up and running. FYI the card I installed was a PNY Verto GeForce FX 5200 PCI card, with 128MB of memory. It seemed to be about the best PCI card I could find, with shipping it was about $100. Cheers, ecbean |

Btw, I suggest blizzard products. They really work their butts off with genuine upgrade patches. 10 patches for diablo2 alone. Latest one actually changes gameplay characteristics. Personally have a 3 year subscription to pc gamer mag. that I got on ebay for 10 bucks (no cds included), but a great deal. ---PC |
