Okay listen. I'm new entirely to this website, but I honest to god love my character. This rp is amazing in every right and it baffles me that people don't post more, or at all. But what really got me, is that two members who belong to Central Park Forum, two out of four, I might add, are always on facebook, But never post! Its one thing not to go on the internet cause you happen to be busy, But just sitting at the computer, with facebook open doing god knows what, and not even bothering to post a paragraph? Thats not okay. And don't give me the, "oh, we're waiting for other people to post." Guys if you don't want this to die. Don't let it, And post more. Cause I don't want this to die. And to those who this is directed at, you know who you are. Get your asses in gear. |

I am going to pipe in here for whoever this is directed at— because I think it's me— and say that, while I keep facebook chat open almost all the time, rarely do I just stare at the news feed. Usually I am doing something else— such as teaching myself how to play the piano/keyboard. I know that I need to post. I will post sometime soon, though not for at least another two days. Another contribution to my lack of posting is a growing writer's block, though I did just write an essay (while I had facebook chat open) so I should have a bit more creativity. But what I really need is an all-nighter in front of my computer. Everyone knows that's when creativity is strongest, at least in my family. Possibly others too. Anyway, I do appreciate your concerns and I do plan on posting sometime this break. |

Let me tell you a story Royal. It's not an entirely happy story, but I'm a staunch, capital P Pragmatist, so I'm going to tell it anyway. I call it, the story of every RP forum ever created. Month 1-4 1/2 Act I- Forum is created, storm of traffic, friends and distant relatives are alerted and leave the last (SPOILER) dead RP forum to migrate there. Good posting ensues. Month 5-1 year Act II- Not quite so strong now, some people don't like how their characters turned out, or how the plot is going, or have managed to embroil themselves in interpersonal drama. 1 year onwards Act III- What you see now. Utter desolation. If it were a book, it would be a five hundred page description of snow blowing across the graves of orphans. The problem is that most of the people you and I know and associate with who are also into RP are good or at least decent writers who put effort into this and don't play it like a video game. These same people are also ethereal and whimsical by their very nature (I am no exception, I simply counter it by lots of reminders written on sticky notes). Here one day, gone the next. Checking back one month, lost the bookmark the next. Etc. The alternative, however, is to have a popular forum perused by lots of people you don't know. This is a fucking nightmare on five spiky black tentacles. Kids as young as 7, running wild. No syntax, grammar or spelling, let alone good writing. Mary Sues and Gary Stu's climbing over each others immolated corpses to fall in love and subsequently kill each other in plot devices so predictable, cliched and contrived that they make anyone with even a Neanderthal's grasp of the lexicon of drama want to tear his own skull asunder. Scars over every left eye. Enough Power-Playing to fill a pantheon of gods many times over. So trust me, we have it pretty darn easy on our quiet lane of interweb. Here's the bright side: You can count on me and Craig to be here whatever the weather, and if things don't pick up and you can't find anyone to post with, tell us, and we'll insert our characters into your topic. Jona Briden is a facisnating young woman, one of the most origional charachters I have seen (It takes real guts and talent to write the convincing story of a homosexual without coming off as hammy), and I look forward to seeing her and Silas interact. I promise you I will reply to each post in a timely manner. I'm afraid that's the best I can do, but if you take my advice, two or three people is all you really want in a topic anyway. |

Thank you Craig for replying, and I apologize, I was just getting a little frustrated with other things and decided to try and get my point across. Sorry. C: And thank you Gaberial for your reply and you are right I agree that we have it better than most forums do, and I am very proud to be apart of this. And If I offended anyone by posting this, I am truly sorry. And I do look forward to their meeting as well. C: |

I thought I was going to have time to post IC soon, but recent real life events (my dad breaking his arm) has given me some auxiliary chores, so don't hold your breath on those posts. I will try my best, but like I said: I might not get them done before the new year. |

When did you say you might now post before the new year? I do not remembering you writing that and if its from a previous conversation then enlighten me. |

I have a feeling I said it at some point to someone, but I forget who and when. |

You, Royal! You have inspired me to post more! After a nice long round of procrastination! No but seriously, I do hope to post somewhere tonight. So. Kudos to you for yelling at us. Major props. |

Gosh, I'd take a stern tone more often if I knew it would result in posts. |
