I sense some hostility. You talk like I screwed up or something. I left before I became inactive. It is a pattern I saw when I worked as an admin: people became inactive after few months of being in the squad. It only ticked off members and other admins. So, I left before I became inactive. Simple. It was better than having my name up their and doing nothing to deserve it. If I ticked people when I left, trust me, you would've been more ticked if I was here and did nothing. I just took responsibility. I realized I just needed a break because sometimes the pressure can be overwhelming. Of course, there is no pressure these days. Besides, I got some fresh ideas. I am as eager to take a crack at this as I was when I first started. You have nothing to lose. So Dark Angel, if you are reading this, don't make me beg. Gimme a chance, please. |

I would have to second this. Considering how the main purpose of the board died off about 1 and a half years ago or so, I think it has been a lot more active than it could have been at this point. You should be happy that people at least relativitly post consistantly compared to many boards that are currently in the dust. If I were you guys, I would start an AIM Buddy Chat or MSN Chat (Whatever you guys use more) that always has the same name (I dont think czonecentralchat would be taken too often on AIM) and talk about stuff you are interested there. You can still play games and chat about neopets/collectoons/etc like this board. The chats i'm on for a board are consistantly active, with 10-20 members regularly in the chat at a given time. I think this would be a good way for you guys to keep in contact and also maybe recruit older members/keep older members around. Oh, and I remember Desi being a good mod. Kudos to whoever put him back up. I think his only mistake was making me a mod/admin or repromoting me, i can't remember what it was lol. and no, i'm not coming back. I haven't played anything like Neopets in ages and i don't even have a collectoons account. Plus I barely watch cartoons as it is. I came here just to see what happened to CZC since I was talking with some friends in that chat about our first forums (And how terrible noobs we were). Turns out I haven't been here since 12/30/08 lol |

It's a good idea hun, and you're right.. CZC's dead.. i've kinda known that since before i started college.... and now i've been graduated for a year now o_o; The golden years of CZC was awesome! I can't tell you how many hours i've put into this place, and i really loved it, and it taught me a lot! I highly reccomend running a site if you can, it's a lot of work, but it's amazing. I left because i had lots and lots of other responsibilities.. plus, Cartoon Orbit itself was dieing.. A fansite of Cartoon Orbit can't really fully function without... well.. cartoon Orbit. Now that Orbit is dead, and all of the super-active members are growing up and moving on, it's really hard to get new people to keep this place alive, i realize that. You may say i abandoned this place, but everyone here stays in a special place in my heart, and i never really forgot my true friends that i made here. I had a lot of fun with you guys, i really did. I would encourage any efforts to keep this place alive... restart with a new owner under new design, or management, or whatever you'd like! I really wanted to do that myself, but instead of renewing czonecentral.com, i bought the rights to Juliefoo.com instead ^^; (Where i can put my personal portfolio and such up there) I'm really sorry to those of you who feel that i abandoned you, or dropped off the face of the earth, or whatever you may have thought.. I still love orbit, and cartoons, and you, but i had to go off to college, and "grow up" so-to-speak, and a lot of you now, who were active in the "golden years" are probably finishing up high school, or starting college yourselves, and will know how busy it gets. Thank you to everyone who sees this, thanks for all the fantastic times, great parties, and several wonderful years at czc!! I won't shut this place down. I plan to leave it up as long as Zetaboards will allow, and i'll leave the www.freewebs.com/czonecentral page up as well.. so in the future, you can look back on it and remember. :) Endless thank yous to the mods who kept this place alive so long <3 I love you guys |
