This place is a graveyard. (I dare you to counter-argue that) The only real members left are mourners of a time long past. The -only- way to renew this place, is rebirth. A massive overhaul. A complete teardown. And build from the ground up. New members won't join a cemetary of a forum, it's too thick of memories they have no memory of. There's a pervading air of decay in this forum that new upgrades and additions won't lift. Do something drastic. Could it hurt an already essentially dead forum? Give the board to someone, -anyone- who has a vision for this place, because it's apparent the current admins have no such optimistic vision for CZC. In their mind, they have already buried CZC 6 ft. in dirt. One has completely abandoned CZC, although she made CZC, in every right she has forfeited real ownership to this place, the true owners are the ones most loyal. And the other is nothing more than a crypt-keeper. What is the harm in giving CZC ownership to someone else? Kill an already-dead place? Delete everything, erase all members, destroy the forums. Yes, drastic. It's something people won't like, but by deleting all the members, you weed out the inactive ones, and you encourage the people who used to be active members to rebuild their post-count, and rewrite their forum fame. By deleting everything, you Febreeze the funeral home stench out of this place. This place isn't fresh, and so it will never attract anything new. If you can't possibly delete everything, archive it all, but you'll still have a rotting smell in the background. Everyone has tried, there isn't anything to save this corpse of a forum, except giving it the proper funeral, and hope a new prosperous forum will rise from the ashes. Yea, welcome to the party. You're not a real member until you make a topic about how this place is dying. I was just reading Trunks' "this board is dying topic". Every one has done it. I have done it. This forum has been "dying" for years. Even in the hyperboard days, we had few people who manage to realize what was so obvious. You probably pour your heart out writing that little essay. But trust me, to everyone else it's just another topic that says "this place is dying" or "we can fix this problem by..." I am not making fun of you, I am making fun of everyone. I have done this kind of topic too, so the jokes on me too. All you can do is POST and make topic that attract attention and create buzz. If you have something you wanna change about CZC, take it up to the Admin and don't stop bugging him until he does it or gives you a solid answer. If it's raining and the water is leaking through the roof, telling people about it won't do anything... You have to fix that roof by yourself. I realize I am being a hypocrite because I am doing exactly what I am telling you not to do. But, I just PMed The Raven about some of my concerns about CZC. Edited by Desi, Feb 15 2009, 11:17 PM.

yeah the easies thing to do is all of us to pm him on collectoons as he is allways on there just saying can something happen to CZC as we do not want to let it die. either help us out or pass over adminship lol |

First, I'd like to say: Cool I get to be a crypt-keeper... YES!!! Second, I've tried many times over the past two years to do something to keep CZC alive but the members disappeared one by one anyway. So yes, I have lost all hope for it and don't plan to spend hours every week trying another idea just to see it fail again. Sure I've thought about removing all these dead topics that may be keeping new members away but why? If we just want a fresh start then why not just make a new CZC and leave this to be a place for people like Jazzy, FBF, Gohan, Trunks and everybody else to come back and remember the good old days like the hyperboard does? If we just tear it down all memories will be lost and we'll be an empty shell without members or meaning. |

How come you are the only admin besides Julie? I mean you are still doing whatever you can to keep this place alive but there are members that are more enthusiastic about CZC and they should be given power and a chance to prove themselves Also whoever thought that starting new would solve things needs to get hit. Do you really think that tearing down this board would solve anything? I have been here since the Hyperboard days, and it's not easy to start new. Not everyone is going to register again and start new with the newbie status. The reason no one comes here is because we have nothing to talk about. Orbit was one reason why we came here. xD But notice how it's topics like these that actually generate posts. Not that it's the healthy kind of activity, but it's better than none at all. =P I never came here for the Collectoons, or whatever you call it, I came here because of the people. Sad how everyone is pretty much gone. But I really do agree that someone needs to be put into the Admin position. I know that Raven tries (hence why I call him the cryptkeeper, xD It's not a bad thing), Heck, I see how Raven visits fairly often. But seriously, why is Julie an admin? Sure, she claims it's her forum because she made it, but she ditched CZC a long time ago, and nearly every attempt she made at saying how she's going to be active again totally failed. It's clear that she no longer cares about this place, so she should be replaced by someone who does. And, true. Sorry about the comment on erasing this forum's content. I forgot how nice it is to look back on old topics. But still, even when making a new forum, there'll always be something different from the last one, that intangible element that feels lacking. Maybe a mass email to all the members reminding them that CZC still exists could help? Just shooting ideas out there. |

As the time moves on, the board continues to lose a part of itself. Like a tombstone being withered away by the wind and rain. The only fact left is that the only ones who woe in determination anymore are the old original members (along with few deeply spirited followers) who put their blood, sweat, and tears into this Forum. Unfortiontaly, like all great things, they die... Empries, fashions, technology... Everything moves on and gets replaced, and eventually everything becomes a fragment of history. Somethings go down and are deeply remembered. Like wars and people... But even those names and events lose their meaning, spirit or understandings. I make this message to the old members stating that CZC was probably the best years of my life. But clinging on to this life-less substance will only wither us with it. We must let CZC rest in peace and move on to the next stepping stone of history, so that our footsteps can be etched into the path of the future. We must look ahead and find the next "Czone Central", the next "Forum of Memories", the next "Golden Years"... Not just for us but for all those whom we selfishly deny a forum to call "Home." Let's move forward guys. |

I say just turn czc into an anime forum :jig: :woot:. How to save czc: 1. Remove the collectoons info and put it in a section (This forum CANT be about collectoons as there is already another forum about it and the game hasent taken off really popularity wise.) I also have searched on google... and there have been posts about collectoons on forums but MOST are from 2008 with a few 2009, and/or nobody has replied to them. 2. Discuss a new forum theme or direction, I suggest anime as there is a HUGE fanbase on it, and so many topics you can stream from the subject. 3. Draw in new members. This wont be easy but it can be done through friends and people you know online. |

Mass e-mail as been done and only got 3-4 people to even check back here. Sadly. I am the only admin in title but Jazzy does have the powers to edit anything, if that's something she's not up to or doesn't want anymore then I am all ears if anyone else would like to step up. I wish czc nothing but the best and will help with anything I can but I'm not going to do all the work myself anymore as I see it as hopeless now. |

i wouldnt mind steping up and giving it a shot. but how about we do it in a democratic voting system way. all users that are intrested put there names on a forum and then post like they will do for the forum and then everyone can vote, the fairest way to do it. what do people think? |
