His take from the rich and give to the poor strategy is very harmful for us.Economies dont work like that.Some of you think your savior has come,I havent read this whole thread but I hope this one and pp99's thread is around in a few years. |

On the Religion Note: Bush was a christian man and see how our country ended up still? My point is I dont know why Religion has to matter in a presidental election. Sadly to answer my own question religion carves up the United States and does not make it united in that sense but if you look at it why should it matter? I mean no matter who the president is, he (or hopefully one day a she) will go against one religion or another by doing something that goes against somebody's religion. Just imagine if we one day have a jewish president and he/she forced things that are in the torah upon us for example, there is really no diffrence and no president is going to be perfect. So if you want someone in charge that makes religion his #1 to do with what he/she does I suggest moving to another country. |

Yeah, but I recall Psalm and Daniel having a to say a word or two about it. (BTW... that New Testiment) Doesnt matter they are the same religion... they share different beliefs... and at that time. Catholic and Protestant were as hot blooded against one another as the Jews and Muslims are today... So dont brush it off so easily Malach. |

Actually in Leviticus it says "Thy shall not sleep with a man like one lies with a woman,.".So yes Jesus is against homosexuality,if the homosexuals think they have it bad here in America,maybe they should go to Iraq where they kill you for being gay! And yes Gohan,Obama is for the minorites,there is nothing racist in saying the truth.Its like bums begging on the streets for spare change from people who are actully working for their money.Its not right. Dont you guys think its odd that Obamas grandmother was died so coincidentally right before the election?Many conspiracy theories are alive and well on this one.It certainly does look suspicous.I wouldnt doubt if Obama hired someone to kill her because she knows secrets of his past that could hurt his chances in the long run!He certainly didnt look sad or seem to express remorse.Cant help but wonder. |

I'm not christian, wasn't born christian, and wasn't raised christian. Does that make me a bad person, or a bad leader? Since my religious beliefs don't say anything about homosexuality, does that mean I'm "allowed" to support gay marriage? Btw, I'm more upset that prop 8 passed than I'm glad that Obama won. |

In addition Daniel and Psalms are both books of the Old Testament Cathoiicism: Believes Jesus is the Messiah Christianity: Believes Jesus is the Messiah So, you give me the difference, growing up Catholic, I will immediately point out where you have been misled about Catholicism. Wasn't not Jesus who said, Judge no man, lest you be judged? Did he not say "The most important rule is Love the Lord Your God, and Love Your neighbor as you Love yoursef? |

So, he is the milk's favorite cookie! Let's celebrate when Obama does something good. I understand that a lot of people are happy, but he has done nothing yet except for being black...and he made Jesse Jackson cry...but so what! An onion can do that. I sound like a cynic and probably a racist, but I was all for Obama. But when the novelty of having a black president wears off, all we have is a guy who said some speeches. What do speeches do? Nothing! We have a tradition of presidents ignoring and forgetting what they said in their speeches. Bush is the perfect example.
