    The creator of CollecToons

    What is CollecToons?
CollecToons is a new collectible e-card game that brings together some of the favorite features of classic e-card games, with many new features to keep users coming back.
Because it is not a corporate entity, and is basically a fan site run by fans, the ctoons (which is short for CollecToons) will encompass all of animation and childrens programming.

How long did it take you to create CollecToons?
Well, the idea actually came about while I was working with Cartoon Orbit. There were many new features I had been discussing with the final manager of Orbit, but due to many cutbacks in spending on Orbit, that site was closed and no further developments came from it. Since then, I had been putting together designs on paper and in powerpoint that I would have liked to have seen implemented in Orbit. Being that I knew there were no plans on CN bringing that site back, I took the initiative and found a development staff to create the site I had designed.

Who are your Beta testers and how did they help?
There are roughly 20 people that I had test the site after its initial development phase. Their duties were to patrol the site and find every flaw, bug and hole in the system so I could not only have them all patched up, but so that I could also improve upon my initial design with some of their ideas.
It wasn't all work for them though, since they were able to fully play the game and get a sneak peek at the system and some of the initial release ctoons.

Tell me about some of the features.
Well, from my many years both playing on Orbit and working with them, and playing other e-collectible games like Neopets, VMK and others, I saw many features I liked and disliked. I thought it would be great if many of the better features were all in one place. For those who enjoyed Orbit, I had the classic offline trading added to the system, as well as auctions and codes. From Neopets, I created a shop system of several shops, each loading different inventory at different times, as well as a PM system so users could converse with each other, an a few other bonuses features. Really, there is so many things added, you'll just have to play to find out.

    What is your favorite feature?
lol. The admin section. I had a very handy management system created, so admins and moderators can stay on top of making sure there are lots of new releases and features, as well as being able to really lock down on cheaters and people who want to ruin the game for others.

What kind of cToons can we look forward to?
Basically everything. The original cToons that Orbit used were created from production art and media. Not only do my archives also contain thousands of similar content, but I also have an endless supply of linart, official character art and much more. You can expect lots of anime, classic HB, Disney, Nickelodeon and anything else you might religiously watch on TV.

Are you making profit from this site or will you?
I wouldn't be able to legally make profit off of this site, due to the fact that all of the characters and material used will be copyrighted. The site will fall under the same laws and provisions that protect all other fan sites and websites dedicated to copyrighted material, including the Digital millennium Copyright Act and the Fair Use Provisions. We will allow anyone to send donations, though, since it will be costly every month to run on my servers. And like all non-profit organizations, we will give incentives for donations.

What kind of incentives will be handed out for donations?
I had a premium acct type created that will have bonus features like a storage locker, banking, and monthly pm'd freebies. I'm sure I will think of more features I can add to the premium accounts.

Thank you so much for letting me interview you.
No Problem. Let me know if you want to know anything else, Sweets!
