My, my. Aren't we the merry bunch? :p About it being a "popularity contest" -- it isn't. Plain and simple. However, I suppose if you are active, a contributing member and follow the rules, you would be popular. And if you are only on once in a blue moon, cause trouble and leave, you wouldn't be. So... yeah, maybe it is? This doesn't really change much, and the little it does change shouldn't matter to you unless you really care about your "rank" that much. As for the "it's just stupid", "I just hate it", "just go 'way" views -- care to elaborate? Why not state your reasons for your utter dislike? Offer an explanation so that we, too, may understand. I can only read minds within a five-mile radius, you know? |

Its the rank look and feel that bothers me. I dont understand Legand, what if the person comes back from "being inactive" How do you define an old member and how do yo udefine a "Legandary one"? Yea Pan was someone who left in 2005 she could be legand there is also whats her face back in 2004 with 500 posts Legand too? As for VIP how do you define "Good Conduct" here on czc? In my eye there are LOTS of people who do well on czc that wise, going to make them VIP now too?. My Suggestion: Do away with Legand, VIP, and Elite and make post ranks. Make it an option to the member to be in a ranking system if he/she shows "Good behavior." There can even be post count related VIP ranks and ideas for custom rank titles. |

Its reminding me a lot like TCG too, Legend would be a good idea but if they returned would they be taken off that? CZC VIP is rubbish, Elite is fine. |

Then he or she will just be an active Legend. A Legendary isn't defined by me, it's defined by the membership of CZC. So yes, members like Pan and Aussie who are still known to this day even by members that didn't know them when they were active could very well be a CZC Legend. Think of it as a cZoneCentral version of a Hall of Frame. Well just look at the current VIPs, they have both been active, haven't broken any rules and have helped the CZC community by holding multiple contests. This isn't to say anyone needs to have contests, all that is needed is to be active and to stay away from trouble. But things that help the community like doing contests, showing new members how things work, giving appraisals, posting codes, babysitting, buying the milk and eggs, etc. as long as it is help a member(s) can only give you a better chance at being a VIP. We already have a long list of possible VIPs and I hope to add 1 or 2 every couple of weeks for the next few months.
Almost all the active members have already maxed out of Post based ranks and I'm not going to make 50 different groups since it's a pain to find colors for them and even more of a pain to manage them all in the Admin CP when doing things like the permissions masks for each forum. This is why I am going to fix the titles so it'll give you a banner based on post count. I plan to include ones for 1k, 2.5k, 5k and 10k. |

Raven Im not asking ya to make 50 unique rank titles. People shouldnt be labeled tho on forums like that is what Im saying they should have a choice in the matter. |

Nope, he would have to prove his salt. VIP is just another way to keep people from leaving, like at TCG. Elite shows your special, one rank for CZC is best. |

Other than the names and colors, that isn't much different than what we did. Only we're using titles instead of groups for post count. You'll notice no difference between Titles and Groups. You will still have the banners and all that. |
