Sorry for slacking so much on the newsletters lately. I promise we will pick up the pace. Another Newspaper should be out for Labor day this week so look for it! This edition of the Newsletter has an interview with DrXK about Neopets and even some information about CN's Mini Match! I hope you like it. How many hours do you play Neopets a day? ---Well, usually when im not at school or working..im on the computer browsing the net, listening to music, and doing homework ..while im doing that, i check the sites that i normally go to, one being Neopets ..then i go back to homework ..take a break ..and check sites again ..so there really isnt a certain "timeframe" on how long im on a certain site Oh, I see. So you like to multi task... When did you start playing Neopets? ---Yes I do, i seem to get more done that way. Anyways, I have been playing Neopets for 40 months now (what Neopets says) ..since April 2005 That is a long time. How did you first hear about Neopets? ---From the forums such as TCG and CZC, I started with Orbit, then saw that a lot of people also play Neopets, so I thought I would try it out. Neopets used to actually advertise their banner on Cartoon Orbit. I refused to join at first but my Cartoon Orbit friends talked me into it. Tell me about your pets. ---Well, when i started neopets I first choose a Grundo, but I always wanted a Jetsam, but couldnt choose that because its limited. One day while browsing, my Grundo was turned into a Island Myncii by a random event ..Then I chose to raise a Kougra and used my first PB ever on it, making it a Tyrannian Kougra...Later on in TCG, someone had a Jetsam that they were getting rid of, so they gave it to me and just recently I made it a Fire Jetsam, the pet/color ive always wanted ..Then I used a random pet for Lab Zaps, hoping for a Robot Jetsam, but that didnt work, and yesterday I got a Fountain Faerie event, so I got rid of the lab pet and made my 3rd favorite pet/color, a Maraquan Grarrl =) ..now im trying to find matching petpets for each one ..already have an Island Tasu for my Myncii You put so much time into your pets. They are lucky to have you as an owner. What item did the fountain faerie ask for? ---A Disco Print Pillow ..which cost me around 95k neo for , but I used the quest to make a Maraquan pet, which was definitely worth it. So you already bought the item and painted your pet? ---yes, like i said before, I made a Maraquan Grarrl, my 3rd favorite pet and color May I see the pet? ---Sure, http://www.neopets.com/petlookup.phtml?pet=JawzDrx I hope to find a Maraquan background for it, and buy a maraquan petpet paint brush for the Mazzew to go with the theme Awesome pet! I've been playing Neopets for 7 years. =D Mini Match beta was launched around December (I think) and only some people got to beta test it. It was officially launched around May 08. It's been hidden for quite a while but I saw the commercial on CN (and I watch CN a lot and saw this commercial just recently). It's pretty cool, you make an avatar, you can buy stuff at the shop with credits, you get credits by playing games, and at the shop you can enter secret codes that give you items. The only down side about this is that you can't private message someone and in public chat, you can only say certain phrases similar to Orbit. You can type your own phrase just as long as you're not exploiting the chat or being offensive (ie: I've seen over 20 people call each other a "home-oh". Words these kids learn at school these days...). I wish they worked on it some more, it's pretty laggy, freezes up a bit, other than that it's fine. I've tried googling some Mini Match codes and it seems like no one has a list (you can google "mini match codes" but you'll find outdated codes). Anyways, if anyone is gonna register, add me (Chaotic Violet Sizzle), you can't add people that aren't online so I'll be online at 9PM pct. I'm gonna be gone for a bit. |
