Isaac Hayes wrotes a number of hit in the 60's with a writing partner, probably most famous for the song "Soul Man". He also had a number of hits on his own in the 70's including "Shaft" and "Walk On By", and bascally created with Herbie Hancock and Curtis Mayfield the synthesizer based jazz pop of the 70's. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. The upcoming movie is called "Soul Men" and star Isaac, Bernie Mac, and Samuel L. Jackson, and is basic a pseudo autobiography of Hayes in the 60's and the record company he worked for. |
